They didn't play meta always. Conduit was not meta until DZ played it. TSM refused to believe conduit is useful. You don't seem them playing conduit outside of a contest. Conduit was known to be the best contest legend. But not viable.

Nobody thought Conduit was bad, she was mega broken in ranked and casual, that’s why she was nerfed. She just wasn’t justifiable for most teams to get rid of a beacon or console scan in ALGS.

She was bad. You have to play her specific. If you use her heal when you’re fighting mid fight it’s not gonna do much to save you. Especially if it’s just you it doesn’t heal fast enough. The only reason people that were using her were needing to because of contest.

@@Gassacre they used her que and ult. the ult is used to slow and cut off teams from pushing you or pushing circle. its also easy to beam somebody in her ult if they walk into it. the que just isn't that good in a fight. sure you'll get a little extra health and some instances but most teams when you get low just push you heavy and using a que isn't gonna save you. cat wall could. fuse could. caustic might. there's a reason why people stopped using conduit. she wasn't good enough. the only time people used her is when they had a contest because your just fighting 1 team. not surrounded by 12 teams. its easier to use her in those situations. but hey talking to you is gonna be pointless cuz you think whatever is right in your head is right lmfaooo theres a reason the top teams didn't use her.

I wish he would have explained why Rampart is useless so people finally get it. Sheila and her passive are WORTHLESS. She only has beacon scan and walls. Walls also are useless bcs they only turn scenarios where you already ahead into you being even more ahead. If you are fd you are fd, wall or not. I'm exaggerating mildly... obviously walls aren't completely useless, but their value is marginal.

Shiela is not worthless, actually probably best gun in game on MNK with its TTK. The issue with rampart is the fuse meta. We saw teams like CCE crumble after the split due to the rise of fuse knuckle clusters destroying rampart walls. Her passive has not really been a pivotal point, atleast not since LMG meta, but her free ammo OP gun as well as one way sight lines does make her a strong pick as long as fuse, Maggie, caustic, or any other AOE legends are not meta.

@@RandomHappyDude first off I have no clue what you mean when you say you can’t shoot Shiela in smoke. Unless you think smoke removes the ability to press the trigger idk. 2nd, the TTK for the Havoc (with a turbo, not including wind up) is continuously at minimum .2 seconds slower than Shiela. With the havoc becoming EVEN SLOWER at killing people than Shiela the higher HP is. The havoc statistically cannot “gun down a player faster” than Shiela. ImJLu’s TTK post on the r/competitiveapex

@@RandomHappyDude especially with the update meta smoke doesn’t matter for shooting your gun in smoke. Also the havoc is not faster then ramparts mini gun. The reason why nobody wants to use her is her walls are overwhelmingly useless and can get destroyed with half a clip of a gun. None of the guns right now are in meta for her passive. Ring console is good but you can use the other legends for that. Her mini gun is the only thing that’s useful but setting a mini gun up is terrible cuz you’ll get destroyed going on it. But using her mini gun when you push a team while you lets say a rev or someone else push a little bit ahead first gives you that opportunity to destroy the team so quickly and do a lot of dmg giving you a free fight if you do it right. Her mini gun is the only thing that’s really good. Her amped cover is just a thing to use every once in a while when holding down areas. One sniper shot can take it out tho.

I think BH is still way stronger than people realise. The whole smoke vision is removed but that's not a big issue when you consider the smoke outline change. Seer ult will always be strong tho.

Conduit was broken but pros were refusing to see that until DZ played her and performed. I follow the comp scene. Many pros and even Raven said she is bad. You are right that she was broken in ranked and pubs but I am sure he was talking purely about comp. Bloodhound nerf was needed for sure and I don't think it had anything to do with Falcons 😂

Conduit was busted on release, but the true reason she is so irrelevant now is because of the new drop ship system. People who ran Conduit are people who get POI contested. It didnt help that she got nerfed also.

@@uncagedmnc956 It is a combination of both. Without the beacon, there would be a trade-off between the fuse evac (end game) strat and picking a beacon legend. That tech is super dumb don't get me wrong, but the tipping point to actually play him was the beacon. That fuse tech has been out since evacs came out, but fuse never had the strength to make it in ALGS. The knuckle buffs, wreckless t3 upgrade (rly overlooked but super useful perk), and mainly beacon kinda catapulted him into top tier where now everyone sees the evac strat.
