Sittingduck I’m not attacking Yes (Prime) Minister, I enjoyed the show and the book. My comment is that the world has moved on. To follow your football analogy, I accept Pele was an amazing player, but in this modern game, I doubt he’d have as much impact. Oh dear. How does one explain this to the willfully obtuse? Hislop's and Private Eye's work is based on the news, in the UK and abroad. 'New material' is therefore very much dependent on there being new material in the news, in the UK and abroad. Also, it's "God's sake" with an apostrophe, and I rather think and hope you meant "spouts", rather than "sprouts". I watch comedy programmes expecting them to be both original and funny this was neither and I have a wicked sense of humour. I just get pissed off with them talking about Mays husband but never a mention of Corbyns foreign fluff. I mean sprouts because they are all vegetables.
