Massively truncated, but they did their gallant best. Fun to hear Vivien and Laurence together.

This is a treat. I’ve seen the tv version with Penelope Keith and loved it. Such a great story. The brilliant Noel Coward never disappoints.

Olivier played the role of Victor in the original production but never played Elliot on the stage.

Vivien did this radio drama before Gone With The Wind was released in theaters! What a super star she would become ~

I think it aired a year after Gone With the Wind. GWtW came out in 1939 and per the description above this show aired in 1940.

Vivien Leigh and Lord Olivier are excellent, of course, but the abridger failed unnecessarily badly at an impossible task.

I agree. It Certainly does not do such a delicious play justice.
