I miss uniforms so much, it was just get up and go. Also made my school shop every year really inexpensive because I kept the same uniform from yr 7 all the way to yr 11. The only time I had to buy a new uniform was when I split my skirt and when I got into yr 11 because we had blue shirts and not white.

@@grasshole4228 my parents made me get my clothes super big so i started yr7 and i was 5 feet tall and ended yr11 at 5’5. That’s why I barely ever brought clothes and even by the end of it my skirts were still too big and long.

@@sassyqueen9739 like i get that they aren’t always the cutest but fashion is the least of my problems at school. Everyone ends up looking the same so you can’t really make fun of the way someone is dressed, if you can’t afford new clothes for school my school would give you a uniform, it’s quick in the morning, saved me a lot of money on school shopping, my cousins used to get some of their clothes stolen at times but with uniform no one steals your clothes. Like the list goes on, i like the simplicity of not having to worry about what people have to say about how I look or how I have to present myself. Also you are less likely to heavily dresscoded (which is a big problem when wearing your own clothes in a catholic school) like at most they’ll tell you to roll you skirt down if you roll it up too high or pull up your socks but it was still pretty rare. That’s at least why I like uniforms.

Honestly your private schools dress code seems pretty lax. The skirts y’all have are actually pretty cute, the ones the schools around my area make the kids wear are kinda weird. (All the girls roll em up a few inches anyway) all kids in their sperrys too.

i used to go to a private school and we had to wear these plaid skirts w a button up everyday and we also had socks with the schools initials on them and then we had to wear a certain kind of shoe but it was lowkey rly cute!!

Okay I relate to Caroline! I went to private for 8 years but we didn’t have uniforms. But clothing was super strict, clothing for the tops had to cover the behind and no leggings where aloud, no ripped jeans above the knee, and it was just horrible. I understand why they did it but I’m glad this year I can express myself a little more going into a public school. Wish me luck for my first year in public school!
