Priya Sisters are a favorite of mine. Their melody has a special importance because it puts me in tune with my innate sense of devotion. I love that feeling.

Vintage Madhyamavathi by the Priya Sisters. Palinchu Kamakshi is one of my favorite compositions in this raaga by Sri Shyama Sastrigal. Thrilled to see Meera Akka on the violin, Papanasam Sri Kumar Sir on the mrudangam, and Vaikom Sri Gopalakrishnan Sir on the ghatam respectively (all staff artistes of AIR Madras and my inspiration/Gurus for AIR Madras has been a great means to fine tune and improve my vidwatam through kelvi gnanam). Namaskarams to all the great artistes on the dais!

The singingseen evokes in me the thought that just like human mind, the tempo and sweetness of human voice is also having no boundaries.. It is why both human mind and Sangeetham are considered 'DEIVIKAM'.
