Fixing my RB25det S13's WORST Issues!

I finally have a day to catch up on maintenance on my RB25det 240sx S13 project car. Although an oil pan replacement typically is not a regular maintenance item, it paired well with doing an oil change. After 2 long years, I have converted the passenger s13 door from manual crank to power! The RB25det runs a bit hot, so I fabricate a cooling plate in attempt to reduce temps and direct airflow. Last minute paint to the Advan RG1 wheels and it's ready to rock!
I spent the last 7 years building this 1990 Nissan 240sx from the ground up by myself. I swapped out the KA24e for a KA24de. Then once more for a RB25det out of a R34 Skyline and couldn't be happier. I have also converted the 240 to right hand drive, (which ended up saving my life!) After installing a few drift parts; such as a hydro E - Brake, and dual rear calipers, welded diff, solid suspension bushings and more, the car handled amazing. Surprisingly this S13 was able to drift and stay sideways perfectly despite the damage that was done to it.

Can confirm the angle/height of the motor mount brackets slightly differ from 13 to 14 subframes. Went through the same thing when I swapped a buddy’s subframe into my car.

I can confirm the 2 subframes are different in height , you may even find a nissan cefiro subframe which drops the engine even lower . Great for when you use a 30 bottom end , gaining clearance for the bonnet to close

The S13 originally came with a small undertray panel... probably almost none of them have the original anymore, as it was fairly flimsy and would get beat up and trashed over time. I still have mine around someplace, though I can't remember where I stashed it.

for a camera setup, the obvious upgrade would be a small mirrorless with a versatile lens. first thing that comes to mind is the Sony A6xxx series the latest one, the A6700 is the best but you could totally do with a second hand A6600 or even older A6400, they are all very capable but there's a learning curve and a lot of patience required (what I think would be totally worth it). pair it up with a Sony 10-18 lens for the talking shots and most of the vlogging and Sigma 18-50 for some more cinematic stuff and a dji mic or rode wireless go (I think) for much better audio. that will probably be a huge step up in quality. hope this helps, cheers:)

Also pro tip , when doing rb sparkplugs you can undo the 12mm bolt heads that hold the bracket to the head , 2 brackets ,3 coils in each bracket . 1/4 the amount of hardware gets undone

Hey Mike, I saw a bunch of people with this same issue and the fix has most often been to move the intercooler and radiator closer to eachother. Once the air goes through the radiator, the air gets more turbulant as it goes through the air, so the closer it is the more "clean" air goes through the radiator where you need the cooling. Maybe give it a shot and do a before and after :)

I have no idea why people paint wheels black, like a dark skate or grey i can understand but black? You lose all the detail and it doesn't even look good. Also what do you think you're gonna do to the oil pan? Look into a low profile? Is raising the car for now an option? Idk too much about cars just starting to get into them and learn.
