What do you think about the Fifine AM8? Do you like the fact that it supports both XLR and USB solutions?

I'm slowly becoming more and more impressed with Fifine quality. I recently picked up their low profile boom arm and I was happy with that also. Perhaps I will give this mic a try as my work-from-home mic.

Definitely worthy of a shot. I would have a hard time telling anyone to get anything else, at least as a starter mic

Hey, which is better, am8 or pd200x for podcast and casual singing considering i'll be at a distance of 4-6 inches from the mic. Also its my observation that pd200x sounds very nasally and am8 sounds as if u have congested throat and flat, so which is better considering these and the distance? Also does having 24 bit over 16 bit make a huge difference? and which has better noise cancellation of background?

Light??? A blessing this has been to use, I found this mic to be anything but light. Not "heavy", but absolutely not light

It's quite light relative to most of the other mics I have used. There are ones that are much lighter, but given the build and sound quality of this mic, it is one of the lighter in that category. Plus I am super duper strong.

Real newbie to microphones do you have your voice coming through the your headphone so you can hear what your voice sounds like. I tried that to see what it sounds like and it sound really weird? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Yes you can hear your own voice when you plug your headphones into this mic, but can control how loud it is in your ears using the headphone volume knob.
