Jamal Murray is a stone cold assassin. He only plays well in clutch time but he does it every time. 6-8 in the fourth including the buzzer beater and the nuggets scored in 8 of 9 possessions down the stretch.

Aaron Gordon deserves a lot of praise for saving the ball and getting out to MPJ for that late three. And for all of LeBron’s basketball IQ, he took that last three with like 10 or 12 seconds left on the shot clock which allowed Murray time to hit the game winner.
@good2go6199 ай бұрын
There was a 5.5 second difference between shot clock and game clock on that possession and Denver had timeouts. So, Denver would've had the last possession unless Lakers get an offensive rebound. Lebron was open and made two 3's before that.
@pauld77049 ай бұрын
@@good2go619 15 seconds is a lot more than 6 seconds is all I’m saying. Bron was *unreal* last night but that one can be second guessed imo.
@good2go6199 ай бұрын
@@pauld7704 People are only second guessing cause Lebron missed. He was wide open. Waiting to run down the whole clock makes it more difficult to find a better looking shot. I could understand second guessing if Denver had no timeouts. But, Denver could call a timeout after a rebound/or make and have at least 5 seconds on the clock. And the way it played on Murray didn't cross half court till 7.5 seconds on the clock and got into his move with 5 seconds on the clock. So it's not 15 seconds vs 6 seconds.

MPJ is 6' 10" with a long wingspan. I believe he only missed one game this season. He's a big reason the Nuggets have been winning this year. Picked up his jersey this year to honor him. He also has some tragic outside distractions. One brother just being banned from the NBA. And his younger brother just being sentenced to 6 years, for killing a women while driving drunk.

What makes Joker so difficult to defend is his real time problem solving to the adjustments that are being thrown at him. He makes it look like you aren’t doing anything, when in reality, no matter what you do, he solves it and beats you. Savage.

Jokic with 27-20-10 is crazy. Only 8 times in Nba history the player had 20+points, 20 rebounds and 10 assists in the playoff game and 4 of those belong to Nikola Jokic.

Jokić and Nuggets team are "inevitable" for Lakers. I know You are LAL fan W, but I hope DEN wins in 4 (and win it all eventually). Mostly because "pro-media" which don't wanna acknowledge Jokić as top MVP candidate. Murray made nice final shot and LA squandered big lead again. Was close game. Greetings from Serbia. PS: Russell had great run, so they cant blame him again for loss.

As a Nuggets fan since the 70s, the Lakers were inevitable for the Nuggets until last year. So many playoff runs shut down by that franchise, it’s gratifying to see the Nuggets beat them.

@@pauld7704 "Jokić and Nuggets team" - I meant for this team. Today`s DEN is antiLAL team. LAL could win against other teams because size and overall qulity (they are good/strong team). And they got good shooters. Problem is now with long losing streak (no matter what they say "ooo its new day, new game, ...). And this second game must hurt them, played good and lost after big lead.

In the 2nd half I saw at least a half dozen instances of the Nuggets running a DHO and the Lakers trying to go over the screen, leaving either a wide open shot or a wide open lane every single time. No hedging, no switching, no help and recover... nothing. Just somebody like D-Lo trying to trail 3 feet behind Murray and power through a Jokic screen.

Lakers seem to employ the philosophy that great players win games and that can happen, but not as often as great teams win games. The whole idea players cancel others totally misses how players might make others better.
