Instead of brown sugar, add a Tbs molasses for the flavor with less sweeteness. Then some coffee. I mean, the bananas add sweetness too, you need to dial back the sugar not amp it up. The fact that Conde Nast RATHER just let them quit and hire more POC for less money, instead of just PAYING THEM A FAIR WAGE speaks volumes. The fact that you even rather just ruin your reputation like this, let half of your video staff quit, and stop the channel altogether says so much. You want to profit off of POCs cultures and people, but not pay them back fairly? Crazy.
@givememore4free4 жыл бұрын
You are misinformed, everyone has gotten a paycheck. Everyone has gotten their salary, the problem here is that people of color did not get paid for being on camera. Everyone NOW has been offered a contract, and they decided if they wanted to stay with the company and receive money for being on camera with their contract. Some refused their contract and decide to move on and stay with the company, while others decided to leave the company altogether. If they decide to post videos on their channel they're going to do it anyway, you're not giving them any ideas. Sorry you're so pissed off about nothing. You are just a fan, you should try to relax.
@heyimmomo82114 жыл бұрын
@@givememore4free I think maybe you are taking my comment too seriously and I hope you're not going around the comments section trying to start something with everyone. I know exactly what happened, so I'm not sure why you're assuming I dont. They weren't getting paid fairly for on camera appearances, they got offered a contract that STILL wasn't fair. You can check their personal IG for that information regarding the contract. Thats why they decided to leave BA video (not not BA entirely). I no where said that they weren't getting paid at all. The fact that Conde Nast still offered a bad contract instead of a fair one is still wrong. I'm allowed to be upset as a fan, idk what "ideas" I'm giving them? Unless you're reading way too deep into my comment. Fans are allowed to be upset, without fans BA/conde nast do not have money to do any of this in general.

The demise of Bon Appetit was extremely disappointing. They had a wonderful diverse group of people who were great cooks and entertaining personalities. I fear that they won't be able to recreate what they once had, not for corporate owners but for the fans and the actual staff on and off screen that carefully curated such wonder shows. It would be awesome to see the entire crew break off and begin there own company, website, KZbin channel etc and continue to create the quality entertainment and fairly treat and compensate the people behind it. I doubt this is possible and could meet or surpass the heights reached but it would be fantastic to see. I personally loved Bon Appetit, it was some of the most enjoyable feel good content I've ever seen. While it is great that they have lent their support to their colleagues - why is it up to them to fight this battle? Do you (in general not you) worry that your colleagues of color or with disabilities or of other perceived marginalized groups are being paid correctly and have the same career path as others? While this is a great example of how pervasive all of these "isms" are baked into the corporate capitalist culture - people of all professions are dealing with similar issues in one form or another.

Maëva B silicone moulds are actually terrible for corners. They don’t transfer as much heat as metal, so you actually end up with softer edges. If you don’t like corners, best thing would be a circular silicone mould. Conversely, for maximum corner-ness I’d recommend a aluminium star shaped cake pan.

these videos gave me so much serotonin during quarantine. i came back to see if there were any updates but the way they've handled this entire issue is appalling. no statements, no apologies and no responsibility. it should have been easy as admitting they were wrong and compensating their staff. they obviously haven't done that and they don't want to either and it baffles me. they've ruined this entire brand now. i feel sorry for the bipoc staff but also the rest of the workers there. they are the ones who built this channel and it's such a shame they're ready to throw that away so easily.
