So as a newbie, why are they not good for you guys to use and good for newbies? I have a ton of lat 64 discs Including these 3 and just wondering why you guys choose others. Is it only because of arm speed? Just curious.

@@1SleepyGeek "Only" speed kind of downplay how much difference that makes. Pro's tend to like very overstable discs as that lets them throw hard without the disc flipping over and rolling. These starter discs are great for new players due to being understable and that keeps them from fading right away when thrown at low speeds. This starter set is also much better then others I have seen as the discs are actually good for new players where as others are often just popular discs, ie more suitable for veterans.

The Diamond is probably my favorite disc and I'm far from a beginner. Mine is so beat up I have to release it almost vertically for a perfect, straight flight. While unconventional, it's incredibly reliable. I think a lot of players just avoid it because it's branded a "beginner disc".

i agree. But something happend to mine, i left it in the bag over the winter and now that i have started throwing it again it will still go anny after i release it vertically. Before it would flip up and go super straight. Im giving it a few more days before i write it off tho, might just be bad release.

Birch bark sheds easily and is often found on the ground. Its a great FIRE STARTER! I love ur videos

The natural growth cycle of a Birch will have them shedding bark multiple times over the course of their lives, though it could also be a fungal infection if some of its neighbors are also experincing the same issue at the same time. I was surpirsed how much i loved my Opto Jade, being a prodigy and Innova thrower since the beginning, and since ive heard the diamond is its little sibling im interested to throw one of those soon. Also, being from Tennessee in the US, i've never seen snow up to the bottom of the basket. Thats real dedication to the craft, playing in a freezer. Love your work and thanks for all the insights!

I love the Diamond for hyzerflips. I would absolutely love a Diamond with moonshine, or even orbit moonshine (can you imagine how badass that would look?). The 150g one although really pretty was too flippy for even my noodle arm, but my heavier ones get a lot of use on straight or slight turn over shots. However on a flat release it will want to go roller.

I find it quite common that the name of discs and the art on discs are not matching up. ;) Slightly on topic... My D5 (air) I just call Air all the time cause the font for AIR (plastic type) is larger than the font of the name of the disc (D5) so my brain just see it as biggest font = name. I called it D5 for a week or so. There is now a slight problem for me with other discs with the same plastic. ;)

In my opinion, Jade before Sapphire after Diamond. I was told by the pro at our local shop when I was looking to update my Diamond that the Sapphire is a BIG step from the Diamond and the Jade would be a better disc to try first.

I would say that Jonathan would be able to throw the Diamond "better" simply because it is less stable (especially the base plastic) and the more experienced player would tend to overpower it and make it go too far right like Johannes was doing at first (It is a disc designed for beginner to intermediate players). I probably have close to the same amount of time playing and experience level of Jonathan, just older and not as strong, but I am now finding myself throwing my 2 Opto Diamonds on a too far right line so am giving them a bit of a hyzer flip to keep them straight.

Does Sweden have mainly Birches? If so, I feel jealous. Northern Illinois in the US has a wide variety of trees WITH LOW BRANCHES EVERYWHERE! If I throw high like Jonathan it's getting stuck up in the tree. If you're lucky it comes back down. Got to throw it low and hard.

The other starter set, Fuse, Keystone & Saint was imo the best. Edit: Might have to elaborate, the downside is their plastic. What i did not know is that apparently i have power arm, so i ruined 2 sets of these in like 2/3 weeks. But i did really like them, good for beginners. I think this set they're playing with is good for women and kids as it's more under-stable.
