just a tip from an avid Forza player: in the suspension customization, you can put on drift springs and dampers which is essentially an angle kit, and in the hud settings, you can turn on “cockpit drift cam” and it will rotate the camera inside so you can see more

Always like seeing the behind the scenes like gear ratios and camber settings because most of us don't have a clue what those are and for someone that has the knowledge behind a real drift car setting, its a nice reference. the thing with ppl showing tune settings is it really doesnt help anyone or teach anyone, cause I could take gearing ratio and find that it doesnt work for me, figuring ot out yourself makes you better

I started with gran tourism. Went into forza motorsport 1 and up. I got my license embarrassing late, but i was driving way before that and got it down so quick. Now, I also brake different and go around turns a lot different than people I know who've been driving 13+ more years than me.

Keep in mind that in the tuning menu in the brake balance its reversed, if you slide it to front it will brake more on the rear and viceversa

I am addicted to the horizon series. First forza was FM4, Favorite game as far as memories/nostalgia goes, but the drifting in FH5 is just so satisfying. The forza franchise introduced me to sub cultures like the drifting community. I'll never forget the first time I linked the entire fujimi Kaido stage D in my classic impala ss. I was hooked. Even had a Fanatec CSR wheel with the elite pedals and the h shifter just before FH was introduced. These games were my teenage years, and they lit a fire for me

A tip for your brake tuning. Forza has it labeled backwards. Moving the slider towards the "front" setting, makes the rear brake harder. Push the slider toward the "rear" setting to have a more front bias brake. Also, turn the brake force down to around 20-60% for more controlled braking.

@@HaugenRacing great video and as far as the thing with normal cars and steering angle, tuning the front caster, camber, and toe are about as much as you can do, but it helps a lot compared to leaving them stock. I wish forza would’ve taken notes from games like FR Legends and CarX for visual customization as well as angle and what not.

Just a tip for new drifters in forza 5 the festival area behind the drag strip that open lot has lines that are great for learning the basics and how to control your car also great for learning manual. Then a little bit more difficult area there’s a race circuit right next to the festival where you can start tying corners and work on high speed handbrake entry’s.

Going into advance controller settings, i ALWAYS change the steering linearity.. inside Zero, Outside 100, and linearity is always between 35-40 depending on car, but for drift i change to 95, but always leave inside outside at 0 & 100... For controller, on normal streer and all aids off, that was the game changer for me, for steering

Brake balance is actually reversed in this game, it's a bug that still is in the game as of 28 february (i tested it yesterday). So if you were still wondering why your car felt weird, it might be because your brake-balance was 80% on the rear.

The fundamental physics are based on the same team that does the Forza sim series. The difference is that they tweak some things around to make more forgiving and arcade like. I can see why they made a Horizon branch, to blend the two.

Hey! Just a Tip for ya. Not sure if you know about this but the brake setting are messed up in FH5. if you move the slider all the way to 100% rear, it will lock up the Front brakes. And 100% front will lock the rear. It's weird I know but it help to know for tuning. Try it out. I hope it helps you. Keep up the awesome vids! And hope to drift with you some time in game.

i feel out every car after every build but for me i will generally go .5 toe out front & back. for me, it’s helps dramatically w smooth transitions but will seem like your car floats a bit more so you’ll have to be slightly more predictive on your lines. but once you get a feel for the float, get that angle & shreddd. hope this helps someone. i wrote this on the shitter at work & now i’m dying to go home & play🤣

There is a drift camera setting that the driver turn its head when you drift. And the angles are in the suspension upgrade there is drifting suspension. You can put it on all cars. Also the Breaking balance you have it the other way around
