One thing I learned doing cross county street racing, if you're a pedestrian and you see a race coming by you, keep doing what you're doing, they're banking on you to act predictably so they dont get tangled up in you

@@HaugenRacing yeah... that's why I quit doin it. If I get fast now its gonna be on an empty road that I know well. But racing like that's has taught me a lot of things I wouldnt know otherwise, like how to judge police traffic and other drivers potential movements. Of course, not with 100% accuracy, but nothing is ever 100%. Back then I did it as more of a way out, if I fucked up at least I wouldnt have to put myself in the ground. Obviously things have gotten better, including my driving. One of the most important things it taught me was how to know the car you're in, feel the suspension out, find out where it squeals and back it off a bit. I think the biggest reason you see all these teens try to race and end up wrapped in poles and houses is because they have no idea where their limit or their cars limit is, they think they got it, and maybe they do, but their cars may not. Been there and took the heat from that, thankfully it was just a fence I had to pay for, and not someones funeral.

After they have learned the basic theory and practice, students will almost certainly evolve their own methods that suit their skill set best. Half the stuff anyone learns in school is generally altered by personal experiences. All he can do is give people a solid foundation to build on.

Street drifting is how alot of people started out. Some people like myself don't have a local track

No local track, and often tracks don't even allow drifting and usually it's expensive if you wanna go regularly to the track.

A couple sets of tires plus fuel in the 240 and camping/hotel that all adds up real quick not everyone has a few hundred to spend every weekend to go drift. I've been street drifting for years I can drive just as good as the pros hell most of yall are very shallow in your transition and most are scared to drag a wall.

@@HaugenRacing who says they don't? There were many big names that started on streets and eventually evolved into pro drifting. Everyone starts somewhere. Some people do it just for fun. Argument behind street drifting requiring more skill is that there is the unknown factor that you don't get as much on track. You can hit a pothole, surface is uneven, roads are usually tighter, no lighting (in night drifting). That's why street drifting arguably takes more skill. In pro drifting you have different set of skills, you have to hold drift for long time at big angle close to the wall and if you the chaser you have to stay close to your opponent. On streets you get a lot of transitions on other hand and tight spaces can force to stay close to both inside and outside. You can go on and on about it. But it's kind of like 2 different skill sets. There is no reason to discredit either side, pro /street.

About guy on purp subu-bu-bubaru on 3:00 and later. In Eastern Europ and Russia we have manuals on most cars and weaker (average) engines in our builds. This leads to most of our drifters keep only one hand on wheel: - "clutch - clutch - hand brake - clutch - shift - clutch..." -like driving style. - our drivers use same cars to drive daily and to compete on tracks, so they act like "cocky-style" drivers with one elbow in a side windows and second arm - on bae's thigh. - that was Borsch, a St. Petersburg illegal drifter, who lost his driving licens in late 2020. The “Animal” is Borschstory. Check out his Chanel. He got his license suspended as of rn, and just makes some garage videos, but check out his last years videos. He has that Subaru hatch and s14. Blue s15 also has a lot of cool videos check him out as well - Stilovdaily. This one is trying to get into pro series, so not a lot of street madness from this year, but check out his earlier videos. He has GTR and Nissan Laurel too. They all speak Russian, but I believe you will enjoy the drift scenes😎
