Ross Charles takes you to Pro Hair Live in Manchester. An event in the hairdressing calendar as an opportunity for hairdressers in the North of England to see all the latest trends and techniques.
This is a short insight into what its like to be there where Ross speaks to some great names in the Hairdressing and Barbering industry.
The crowds of hairdressers and barbers from the north and surrounding areas look forward to this event where they can even buy new scissors, razors, tools and equipment like And is, Wahl and even YS Park combs.
The many shows and demonstrations presented at events like Pro hair live are well turned out and are important for salon staff and owners alike to see what others are doing.
Ross Charles himself also put on a show on the Pro hair Live Men's stage where he Cut and styled two male models. Presenting his expert razor cutting techniques using Donald Scott NYC razors.
Ross Charles is a Donald Scott NYC RatPack Razor Artistry Team member and what delighted to share his skill to the audience that came to watch. There will also be a full version of the presentation showing all the techniques used.
Ross and his team then did a Photoshoot with Jamie Blanshard, who is a fantastic photographer. They worked with the two male models with the looks straight from Stage and got some great shots. The images will feature in Professional Hairdresser magazine.
Many great names were featured at the event from Akin Konizi (Former British Hairdresser of the year), Joseph Lanzante showcasing his micro pigmentation, Hooker and Young, Darren Webster and many more.
Ross then interviews Sid Sottung who put on a great show also on the men's stage. Sid has a great story and has a barbering academy, he was showing his latest looks and skills.
Later Ross speaks with Karine Jackson from Karine Jackson hair & Beauty. She was in the midst of doing a photoshoot with Jamie blanshard shooting her looks as she had just come of stage. She was explaining how she had got the looks from using Curl formers.
Karine Jackson is the current President of Fellowship for British Hairdressing and former London hairdresser of the Year.
Then a great chat with Andrew Barton who has put on a fantastic Exhibition called Beehives, Bobs and Blowdries ! he explains why he has created this masterpiece. It is currently held in Barnsley (Yorkshire) at the Barnsley Civic and is on until 7th April 2018 then it will go down south.
Andrew is the Director of Urban Retreat in Harrods London and a very well respected hairdresser.
