I’ve been a hair stylist for 24 years and I love your videos! I’m always learning and it’s nice that you give free education. I think I might start using the board to hold my foils steady so they don’t slip! ❤️

Thank you for this. I'm still in cosmetology school and I've been a little heavy on lightener since I hear many conflicted things about how much product to use. I'm going to try this next! 🙂

Thank you. I love your videos. Washing hair with chelating shampoo is very important to avoid bubbles and bleeding of bleach.

Do you have tone if doing full foil mostly root touch up? Or can you just use purple shampoo?

I personally find it swells when your doing a root on a highlight. This demo is on a full head, but you can't apply from the ends upwards when you have a 2 inch retouch in highlight form, if you could show this it would be helpful as this is where I find it harder, especially on thick hair as the underneath hair gets so warm

Take your time. look at the section. Gauge an amount of Lightner you think you need for your 2 inch regrowth and paint at the 1 inch mark and feather up gently. If the regrowth is so small then then your wrist should be the only thing moving your brush. Will ensure you don't bleed your foils or over lap.

Because you arent mixing your lightener up enough for the right chemical reaction to happen and you aren’t putting enough lightener on the highlights are definitely not lifting evenly. I can see that before you even start on the previously lightened hair and also on the finished product. Obviously if you put too much on it will bleed we all know that but you aren’t putting enough on. And we were all taught by many different teachers to crush up those lightener crystals and mix it super thoroughly to make sure it had the chemical reaction it was supposed to and my lightener always lifts insanely quick and I never use anything over 20 volume EVER
