Really good teacher just stumbled on some of his videos a few days ago. I'm very sorry to hear of his passing seemed like a nice gentleman, amazing teaching abilities, and down to earth guy. You will be missed by many people, I can't fathom the hurt your family is feeling. I hope in some ways that knowing people are still learning, gaining knowledge and are influenced by you makes their pain a little less. Me and my kids have both gained knowledge from you. So sorry to here about passing.

✌🏻😎🏴That’s awesome 👍🏻 I have never tried airbrushing. So I purchased an airbrush & compressor kit. then I bought every set of paints you have in one go before I’ve even tried them. All I was missing was the paint rack 😂. I hope to see a lot more of these painting videos too 🔥

✌🏻😎🏴I hope you don’t mind but I have questions about Matt clear - Q1. If I spray Matt clear on the inside of the body before I apply colours, will it still work? Q2. Can I mix proline Matt clear into other proline paint to make it Matt paint? (if you can’t mix it with certain colours/paints. Please specify which ones) & if yes - Q3. what ratio of paint to Matt clear should I use to get the same effect? Q4. I purchased ALL sets of airbrush paint but am I missing anything that’s not included within the paint sets?

@THEMASKEDMASTER3 жыл бұрын
@@GabeM_13 you can mix the Matt clear in with the paint. The more you add the more Matt it will look. The problem is that lexan gives it a glossy finish anyway because of its surface. Unfortunately the Matt is more effective if it’s sprayed on the outside to dull its surface but if you figure out a way of making it happen on the inside let me know 👍🏻

So I want to paint my body florescent lime green with black stripes. So would this be the order? 1. Lime green coats 2. White or silver 3. Matte black for decals I was wondering if the black would affect the green, or do I paint the decals on the exterior? Great video.
@slotgear32223 жыл бұрын
You work in reverse order to regular painting so actuality is you would paint black first, back it with white, silver, black etc and then your lime green with white or silver. The brighter the backing color the more vibrant the intended color becomes.

Ok I just bought the entire Pro-Line Candy Set, which airbrush would be my best choice to spray these paints. I have an Iwata TRN2, Iwata Revolution,Iwata Neo BCN, and an Iwata Neo CN. All have .5mm Needles/Nozzles except my Neo CN which has .35mm.
@ProLineRacingYT4 жыл бұрын
Hi @Jonny Crash, All of them will work. The .35mm might need a little reducer in the paint to get the flow you like. All our paints are ready to use out of the bottle with the .5mm, and may be reduced 5-10%. We hope this answers your question, Thanks for your interest and support!

One guy on here painted a Nova body for his RC Dragster using Pro-Line Candy Red and no way he could spray right out the bottle,when he poured it into his mixing cup it looked like maple syrup and he had to reduce. I have an Iwata Revolution, Neo TRN2, Neo CN, and Neo Bcn. Which brush would I have more success with when using Pro-Line Candy paints? They all have .5 needle/nozzles except my Neo CN it has .35
@ProLineRacingYT4 жыл бұрын
Hi @Jonny Crash, Here is a direct response from our R&D team: They do spray direct from the bottle with a .5mm tip. If you are in a cold climate it might not spray as nicely as it should. Just a couple drops of reducer in the cup is all you need if it is not spraying to your liking. Spray with the .5mm for general color coating at about 30-40psi and adjust as needed. All of our color sample bodies on the website were sprayed without reducer. We hope this answers your question, Thanks for your interest and support!

used candy blue, white and black backer. 2 days later paint is coming off. yes I cleaned the body with hot soapy water dried then painted and yes I used reducer . not happy. almost $60 bucks. bad results. can you explain.
@ProLineRacingYT3 жыл бұрын
Hi @Salsbury Pat, This answer come direct from our in house painter and paint designer: You will need to apply the paint in light/medium coats (not dusting - dries before hitting the body, or heavy wet saturation coat - too wet and creates a skin on top not allowing paint that has contact with body to bond properly). Dry with air only in between coats. Candy colors will get darker after each coat is applied. if sprayed candy heavy coats for first coat it cannot bond properly. It takes multiple light/medium coats to properly - 4 is about minumum. Paint does take about 48hrs to fully cure and bond to the polycarbonate. We hope this helps answer your question, Thanks for your interest and support!

I purchased ALL sets of airbrush paint but am I missing anything that’s not included within the paint sets?
@ProLineRacingYT4 жыл бұрын
Hi @RC Masked Master, Here is a direct response from our Head of Graphics and Paint. Q1 - Spraying the inside of the body with the Matte Clear is for after painting only as a final coat. It is adding another layer to help with scratch protection and most important fuel resistance if that is the application (1:8 Buggy). To get the matte finish you would need to spray the outside of the body after removing the protective film. This way when a hard scratch happens it is only a clear scratch. Also you can reduce the Matte Clear about 5-10% and spray medium coats (not wet flow coats). Q2 - You can mix the matte clear with all colors (except candy) to make a matte color to spray on the outside that will have a better mar resistance than painting straight from the bottle. This is what I do to spray the matte black details on fenders, beds and windows. Q3 - You can mix it in any ratio but I've mixed the flat black at 50/50. Our paint dries to a satin finish so adding more Matte Clear to the paint will have more of a matte finish. Q4 - Some of the sets have duplicate colors (i.e.- Secondary set has a Pearl Blue and so does the All Pearl set). On the paint product pages there is a full color chart pdf for reference. There are 8 colors that are not included in the sets if you are wanting to complete the full line of Pro-Line paints (6325-10 Slate Blue, 6325-11 Heritage Blue, 6325-15 Sting Yellow, 6327-04 Pearl Black, 6328-06 Fluo. Pink, 6328-07 Fluo. Tangerine, 6328-08 Fluo. Aqua, 6329-05 Window Tint) We hope this answers your question, Thanks for your interest and support!

Just started using proline paints, just waiting for metallic pewter to be in stock, do I really need reducer or can I just use water as its water based ?
@ProLineRacingYT4 жыл бұрын
Hi @dooronron69, You should not need to reduce using a .5mm tip, but if you do, use the Paint Reducer at 5-10% (few drops stirred into the cup). Do not use water to reduce. Also over reduction will change the properties of the paint causing lack of performance and adhesion. We hope this helps answer your question, Thanks for your interest and support!

Hi, I need some advice. I been airbrushing bodies for 2 years now and from what I hear I do great work, but I cant seem to catch on with Candies, Spazstix or Pro-Line. I'll be doing even lines and overlapping like everyone says to do, and everything will be going great, and all of a sudden I'm getting these bump looking things in the paint. It's like little bumps that when you flip the body over it looks like there's some kind of specks in the paint. I wash and clean my bodies, and when using Spazstix even use the Spazstix Pre-Prep and I'm still getting these bumps, even with Pro-Line Candies. I can do any other paints fine including,Translucents,Flourescents, Mirror Chrome, You name it. I just can't seem to figure out what I'm doing wrong every time I try to spray Proline or Spastix candy paints. Anyone know what's causing this? or what I'm doing wrong? Any advice,pointers,or info will be highly appreciated!!!

@JoePhotoOnline3 жыл бұрын
Candies have to build color over many, many, MANY, light layers. If you drop a layer too wet the surface tension in the paint causes it to form bumps. Your first 2-3 layers you won't even really be able to tell there is paint on the body, that light. Like, if I'm using Blood Red Candy it probably takes close to 15 coats light coats to build a deep red. If you try to create that in only 3-4 coats, it won't lay right.
