You’re correct that Ern has been writing for a while, especially with/for Mo. He just released his sophomore album today, 25 songs, another Mo duet (radio fodder, but good). It’s a mixture of rsdio-friendly vs. retro country (Willie Nelson’s son on a duet, etc.), plus a really good duet with Lainey Wilson. Besides the Mo song I like Life Goes On (lotsa pedal steel), Ain’t Too Late (sorta Petty styling), Did It (John Mayer-ish?) He luvs Mayer and covers Burning Room, too. So I guess it’s an “influences” album.
