the only reason this sport doesn't get more traction/ attention is because of cost.... that's it.. plain and simple. i played for many years and the popularity has gotten more "condensed", for the die hards and the ones who can afford it on a consistent routine.. no one is getting to this level shooting 1 case of paint each weekend. this is an eastcoast perspective btw.

You're absolutely right, I've been playing since the mid 90s. I had angels then but I also didn't have any bills yet. I haven't been able to get a top off the line gun setup like a luxe or something because it is so good damn expensive to obtain. Then as u said, paint, air, travel, etc... is just what keeps it a sport for the rich.

i think it'll forever be fringe sport. at least we have people who record the games. i'm just getting back into it and i have adult money now. soccer will always be the world's sport, and i think paintball will always be small. as you said one cost a lot, the other needs a field and one ball

I think it's always fun to watch stacked teams do their thing. If teams want to beat them, they gotta play better

@@toranfuglseth7049 I agree they are stacked and super talented it’s just not fair all the leeway they get every single tournament and other teams don’t and they always have even in the days of the NPPL. If any other team had played on like that and shot another player it would’ve been a major

TLDR; before I start my explanation, Ton-Tons player fucked up by playing the inside of the bunker instead of wrapping. @40:38 I get that you're tired and adrenaline is pumping.... but Szpytma knew 100% that marcello was at that dorito and that Marcello was also shooting inside. The only reason Szpytma makes the move to the temple is because he knows exactly where Marcello is and where he is looking. I'm no pro and never will be, but why in the hell would you not wrap the inside and force him in at the very least? Even if you don't hit the wrap shot the percentage of realistic attack that player can make goes from 80% to 40% easy.

@38:20 if refs are gonna get so aggro about playing on or spinning they should do the same for overshooting. If anyone can link me a match or point where a player was called for overshooting I would be very grateful. However, I don't think said footage exists refs just let this nonsense go on and it is ridiculous. Gaudin caught like 20 extra balls to his back even though he was clearly out, his entire back was to the field. That is some nonsense, anyone who has played the circuit knows opposing teams do that to piss you off and land extra hits that you may get called for in the next match. It should be considered taunting and should be a minor in the league, that is a completely unfair tactic to utilize, don't care what flak I catch for this opinion. ALSO, Archie just straight fucked up and missed the shot to stop Gaudin and then Andrade put 3 into Gaudin's face after he had already capped Andrade. NXL needs to stop riding the Dragon Dick and let other teams actually compete.

Heat is washed up. They need to cut guys. If Federov doesn't step up this year, cut him. They never play Yaya when he's a great player. The other Chad is slow and doesn't get spins and should be cut. Some teams that think they know it all don't respond well to Tod's coaching like Infamous in 2012 and they sucked then. Heat needs to change roster like they used to years ago and start being a scary team again

Put trackers on the guns and put lasers as an overlay on the footage when they pull the trigger. Wouldn't be hard to do, I think it would be a lot easier than putting a tracker in the ball like they do in the NFL.

as an engineer i think this is pretty good in theory but could be improved apon of, each barrel is going to have a different OD and shape so getting something that will be able to connect to them with ease will be a challenge, especially considering the weight it would add and how much abuse the guns take while diving and sliding. I think that the best solution to this would be some kind of mask mounted IR/radio receiver tracker, if it can be mounted to the rear of someone's strap you can use an inverse compass to track someones line of sight and give people the ability to see where players are tying to make moves, plus the added bonus of not being exposed to much abuse and the possibility to actually help balance the masks for players.
