At first glance, the fact that American students are worrying about the people of Gaza like their parents did for victims of the Vietnam War may seem like a normal thing, but what these students failed to understand is that the people of Gaza was governed until now by a terrorist movement called Hamas which is at the origin of the current conflict. In these conditions, when they ask for peace for Gaza, they should not forget to also ask that Hamas be driven out of Gaza.

There is a reasons this is happening at universities with prideful, young, impressionable people who know little about real life and want to stake their sense virtue in being counter cultural to the previous generation. There are young people everywhere, if it was just about being young and prideful it would be happening at malls and hang out spots. It is happening at universities because students study things similar to the current conflict and the students are unhappy with America's stance on the matter.
