"Are you guys behaving?" I'm surprised Brian doesn't take attendence at the beginning of his streams
@shrikelet3 жыл бұрын
I really like the way Brian gives advice that is specific to the analysis, but goes into enough detail that you can get something out of it even if you play a different character at an entirely different level. I know I am going to try some different stuff next time I have a match against Juri.

Who is the pro player ? I only saw Brian 🤭.

As a Juri main, I understand the apprehension to pressing S.MK in footsies, especially when walking forward. It's *really* easy to get F.MK instead of S.MK, and you *really* don't want F.MK in footsies. You've got to go to the lab and just grind it out, though. S.MK is one of Juri's strongest tools, and only using it when you're walking backwards isn't good enough. On the S.MP -> S.MK combo, if you don't have a stock the best finisher is H.DP, gets you more damage and oki than the flip-kick, but it's a little trickier with the aforementioned F.MK. If you're *certain* your S.MP will hit (After a successful jump-in for example) and you don't have MK.Stock then it's 100% better to go for Target Combo -> Stock -> DP. I actually *don't* agree with Brian on the C.MK -> Stock thing though (-17 ON HIT if you're not close enough to also hit with the stock). It's always dangerous to whiff stocks, especially when you're close enough that C.MK will hit, and a player that understands the matchup should be able to punish you for it. IMO you should be looking for moments during your combos to stock where the kick will connect, especially if you have meter. I would take MP-> Stock -> EX Stock over MP->MK->H.DP any day. If you anti-air with a grounded normal, you should be cancelling it into stock. At *worst* you'll be -2, but the times where you'll be plus and those that won't are pretty visually distinct and with the hitstop you'll be able to at least guess if you're plus or not.
@WookieChoi3 жыл бұрын
Right, at 13:50 a stock 100% would've whiffed there since it's only slightly larger than her stMP. But what he said afterwards is very true that fireball approaching is incredibly powerful and underutilized by the Juri player.

>It’s really easy to get F.MK instead of S.MK I do this a lot with Karin lol
@nyaanyaamewmew3 жыл бұрын
If you watch high-level Juri players or Karin Ojou-sama players (she has the same problem) with inputs on, you'll see most of them most of the time will input bMK instead of sMK to prevent that input error.

Something I noticed about Juri players in lower ranks too is they try to force the vortex rather than putting the opponent in disadvantage and setting up there offensive tools. Good analysis and feedback, loving these kinds of videos.
@kevingriffith60113 жыл бұрын
I've had to spend a lot of time un-training myself on Juri, because I used to run away to stock *a lot* and was eating a *lot* of jump ins for it. IMO it's best to learn "safe stores", where you will either still be -2 or less after the store. Usually that means either having the opponent block the store, cutting a combo short to land the stock, cancelling a grounded anti air normal in to stock or doing Juri's *one* safe stock combo... which is unsafe on block...

You must be a joking man if you genuinely think that swimsuit Seth isn't the best Seth costume. Not only do you have baller shades, but you also get enhanced shoulders and avoid the silly hair physics too! Not to mention it's the only Seth costume that comes in color.
