I went 3-2 with randoms, then used "look for a team", played penny on almost every map and ended up completing at 12-2 because we kept getting matched against players with 10k trophies / gold rank or less (we were around 40k/mythic, I don't play too much) My initial randoms weren't great (10k players themselves) but now I at least have 2 new players on my friendlist.
