Revenant is definitely useful, even in high ranked play. What makes him seem useless is a lack of understanding his gameplay and trying to 1v3 the lobby.

3:17 one thing to point out is that themite grenades will land on the same spot as the silencer Every. Single. Time. It's a crazy way to confuse someone while also getting them damaged

Revenant is definitely over hated, he gets so low in his crouch span I’ve won so many fights 1v1 by crouch spamming because of how low he gets

For ranked, the R-301 or the R-99 paired with the charge rifle is broken, I know this works because I’m a rev main who is always using him in ranked 🙂👍🏻

Is it possible to play lazy with him and be passive aggressive a little instead of fully aggressive sometimes? I’m used to playing recon and defensive type chars where I can scout for intel usually or gather info quickly. Can I use his Q and ult to gather info?

Yeah, I place his q on doors while I'm healing so I know if someone crossed. You can also use his ultimate to revive, respawn, and collect banners. You can really throw his q anywhere you suspect people might come from. Especially if you think a third party is coming it's useful to know if they passed by.

Ultimately that's up to you, if you love Rev and he's your best character and you play best with him then keep at it. But say you're like stuck at a specific rank or feel like you're not improving or winning enough, there's def some better legends at being the entry fragger and first legend in
