No the want the opposite the want ranked like comp but player base is to small and to high of a skill gap between preds unfortunately pros just cling together so there’s no room in this game for people to be better cause pros just hold all pred spots and 3 stack more than half off preds are pro players

The solution is they need to wake up and take SBMM out of pubs COMPLETELY and only have it on ranked + banding the ranks closer to each other even if it takes a lil longer to queue (e.g Preds + masters only, diamonds + plats + golds only, silver + bronze + rookie only)

Pro players want rank to feel more competitive but yet they complain about que times so apex keep hopping back and forth between getting players into matches asap but the quality of the matches are terrible vs making match quality better but it takes a long time for pro players to get into games. So apex is stuck in this loop of going back and forth. There’s really no other solution other than increasing the player count but idk if they can.

I've been grinding comp this past 8 months, slowly improving. Got to CC semis and BLGS semis and had the biggest passion ever but I've been struggling to even open the game this past month with support meta, it's legit the worst meta when it comes to enjoyment and competitiveness in my opinion, there is too much RNG.

Yeah there’s some major problems. I’ve held pred every season since they went back to the RP system besides this one. This seasons meta feels very ham handed and the skill gap is lowered heavily. There was actually over 210k D4 players last split out of 645k total. The game is so chalked and only sweats and delusional people still wanna grind and defend it.

It's dead in comparison to another larger BR title. Fortnite keeps breaking records while Apex keeps losing their player base. Realistically, Apex is becoming more niche while Fortnite is still the talk of the town. Everyone talks about Call of Duty, Fortnite, or even the bew Marvel Rivals. Whenever anyone (mostly me) brings up Apex, people already dismiss it as "the sweaty tryhard game" that no one plays anymore. It's becoming TitanFall 2

Honestly at this point I think even if devs did 75% of the changes players are asking for or complaining about, players would be satisfied for 2-3 weeks and go back to complaining about the 25% and even the changes they asked for, that just tells me there's little chance of pleasing players a lot of who've been playing the game for so long 😂 they could even introduce 2 characters and a new map with those requested changes and players will still find something to complain about it after a week, not saying they're entirely wrong but it's not surprising when you've played 12+ seasons

Been having a blast playing Marvel Rivals. I still watch comp Apex, and I love the gunplay in the game, but burnout with the matchmaking and long ROI btwn mixtape and BR match wins was too time consuming w/o enough satisfaction for my tastes. Wishing the best for the content creators, pros, and the remaining player base, I still think the game won’t entirely collapse, but I’m personally putting my shooter attention into another game for the time being.

It’s only gonna worse at the top. Every time I watch pros play ranked I see so many familiar names on death boxes and in the feed. With the already dwindling numbers, there is only gonna be a very small percent good enough to compete at that level. There is also an issue with the fact ranked is such a boring slogfest. I could easily get myself into masters with my squad I play with , but for the last god knows how many seasons, why would I want to? It’s such a chore, but that means you’ve got players who are skilled and very good sitting in lower ranks because they have no desire to play apex more than just now and again. Because of the state of the game ranked is just f*cked across the board really. Playing ranked used to be fun but at the moment there’s tons of games out I actually have fun playing . Everyone I know like me with 5k plus hours cannot stand apex, they might go back and play it, it’s hard to give up something you’ve dedicated a lot of time to but nobody is having loads of fun doing it anymore

Ain’t gonna lie, I downloaded Fortnite. I’m over the dog shit lobbies in Apex. It’s 3 sweaty nut sacks or cheaters who play all day. I’m just trying to have a good game every game or 2.
