I'm a classical trained pianist and i like jazz ! i've already studied major and minor all 12 keys 2-5-1's, then 12 major scales and their 7 modes,12 melodic minor scales and their 7 modes,12 harmonic minor scales and their 7 modes ! also 12 whole tone scales,12 blues scales and augmented scales and diminished whole-half/half-whole scales ! I'm using 2-5-1's rootless voicings , root LH/ voicing RH ,then voicing LH/ improvise with my RH ! I've been studying for a whole year ,a lot of work !

Thank you very much for this great video. The monk shells are awesome! My 2 cents : at 7:35, A is not the 7th of the Bb diminished chord, it is the G. For dominant voicings you write 7th and it is the true role of the note but here A should be named the natural 7th or major 7th. So the voicing for the diminished can be viewed as the standard root position R b3 b5 bb7 but with the bb7 raised a whole step. Also I find the 7b9 substitutions easier to grasp when you realize the chord C7b9 is just C + E dim7 and since E dim7 = Db dim7 = G dim7 = Bb dim7.
