Hello, thanks for the info. I am trying to do a quilt for my daughters witches hat quilt and she picked a design and bought it but i think it is not right. So wanted to finally learn how to se this software that i have had forever. And your videos but haven’t watched. Sorry. But now watched and encouraged me to learn this software for my handiquilter. I can use the handiquilter pretty well but sing the designer is what i really need. So is it possible to just take a Picture off the website before purchasing a design to see if it will work. Not to sew out but to see what it will look like before buying a bunch of designs. Thanks for your help.

This was so good and straight forward. I'm not as young as I use to be and I go to sleep if it has a bunch of Rabbit chasing. Loved it Thank you Marilyn.

I must be missing something, it loon?oks like the loop borders do not connect and would stop and start at each set of loops. Wouldn't they have to overlap to connect? Is there a P2P opti
@KKsQuilts4 жыл бұрын
Jan, the blocks are not meant to sew together in this case because of the location of start/stop points. Same with the borders if you need to chunk the borders vertically. You can connect designs(if needed) in ProStitcher.

Don't know if you will get this so late in the game but I was wondering how you save the entire workspace? When I saved I got the designs but not the backdrop? Absolutely loved the tutorial. Just what I was looking for! Thank you!
@KKsQuilts Жыл бұрын
Just for your info...I'm still here! No matter how long ago the videos were posted! The backdrop is saved as a "link" to where the image is stored on your computer. If you were to save the file and go to another computer or your machine tablet, then yes, there's no image (backdrop). And PS Premium (your machine robotics) cannot read image files...only stitch files.
@KKsQuilts Жыл бұрын
The other issue is that PS Premium sees the layout as a whole design...you can't break apart and thus unable to sew a large quilt layout.

I have a question. I'm a Newby with my first longarm. I'm using the sunflower e2e quilt design pre loaded into pro stitcher. Each row is bigger than my throat space. It causes the machine to hit against the back bar and the first one. How do I make the rows on this design fit nicely between/within the throat space so it isn't hitting the bars skewing the design??

If you are running a newer version of Pro-Stitcher Premium, I would set my "safe area" defining the frame limitations of your setup. Look for that function under the AREA tab. If your quilt is loarger in length, be sure to allow for bulkiness of the back takeup bar which will further restrict and reduce the height measurement. It is usually necessary to re-size an edge to edge pattern depending on your project. Re-sizing can be found under the MODIFY tab in the software.

If you are a newby, might I suggest you visit my website and consider my guides and classes for Pro-Stitcher. www.kksquiltstudio.com/prostitcher-premium.html

Marilyn, I loved this. I wondered what would you have done with this quilt if someone wanted it quilted with out compromising the piecing. I have just that case most of the time. I would really love to see you do a pattern like that on this, as I have just such a quilt coming up to quilt.

Debbie Can you expand on “compromising?”

@@KKsQuilts Marilyn, Yes, I guess I'm trying to say, I like patterns that individually fit within each block. Love your work, Debbie

Thank you!! Can this be transferred to pro stitcher and actually be stitched out on a quilt? If so is there a tutorial?
@KKsQuilts3 жыл бұрын
Yes, it can be saved and opened in pro-Stitcher But understand that in this case - because this is NOT a continuous line design - each block must be selected, aligned to the quilt top and then stitched. In a custom set like this example, it is more useful as a preview or placement guide / reference for you or your customer (if you quilt for others).

can you take a photo of a quilt top and download it to design the quilting or does it need to be on eq8....have the eq8 for at least a year, but haven't learned to use it. Thanks again. These videos are wonderful.
@KKsQuilts5 жыл бұрын
Either. Taking a photo can bit a bit of a trick as it is easy to distort the shape of the quilt top. Just remember that it is a representation and actual measurements of a quilt and its elements (block, sashing, borders, etc) will vary. I only use my quilting design layout as a reference. Mileage may vary!😃😃🌻

Marilyn great tutorial thank you. One question how can I then send that design to my customer?
@KKsQuilts4 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Are you familiar with the Snipping Tool found under Windows Accessories? I would just SNIP a picture of the top and COPY. Then PASTE into an email.

What quilt program do you recommend for a beginner? I took a picture of my quilt which is square, but the picture isn’t so it won’t let me put 45 x 45. Maybe I try to put it in a design program and go from there..

The quilt top (image) was created in Electric Quilt 8 design software. Here's the video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nGK1apqInNqIos0 and a link to the software: www.kksquiltstudio.com/store/p679/Electric_Quilt_EQ8_FULL_VERSION_Quilt_Design_Software_or_EQ8_UPGRADE.html
