why do you put the pistol in your hand? I've seen this in other videos but I still don't know why

We use a pistol with custom defence formula which gives crit immu, dmg reduc and move speed when ammo is 0. If you use snow pistol you get extra 5% move speed in winters. It's slower than melee but you will be tanky.
