Very informative video as some wire or strings are hard to manipulate. Thank you for this

@Beadaholique • Julie: I've never paid that much attention to gauge on my headpins, but seeing your fingers after trying to wrap the heavier wire, I'm convinced. Thanks for a very clear explanation and demonstration. 👍

This is very helpful - always afraid of those 24 gauge head pins losing the bead, but will play with them more!

I get that! It's definitely a matter of experimenting and making sure the first bead has a smaller size hole

Thank you for being so thorough in your explanations. I am wondering if I should use sterling, stainless steel, or silver plaited wire. Which is the most durable, stainless or sterling? I prefer to go for quality.

I would suggest sterling if you are looking for really nice quality yet also easy to work with.

Hi thank you for your video. I am Dutch and cannot precisely hear the name of the different pliers. Could you write that down for me please? Thank you!

Dear BeadaholiquI, can you recommend what size eye pin, and jump rings to use to make rosary beads for friends and family. I was thinking of using either 6 mm or 8 mm beads 😕. I hope you respond so you can tell me as I have NEVER MADE ANY type of jewelry before!
@beadaholiqueАй бұрын
Hello! 6mm and 8mm beads are a great choice. For the eye pins, I would recommend a 2 inch eye pin, 21 gauge. Something like this: beadaholique.com/products/silver-plated-open-eye-pins-21-gauge-2-inch (unfortunately it is out of stock but hopefully back in stock soon). You could also do a 1.5 inch instead. For the jump ring, it really depends on how noticeable you want it to be. In my personal opinion, I would do a 4mm jump ring, again 21 gauge. You could also do a 5mm. Here is a link beadaholique.com/products/silver-plated-open-jump-rings-4mm-21-gauge-thick. You have lots of choices and a lot will come down to personal preference. If you are new to jewelry making, I would stick to 21 gauge and 22 gauge wires and jump rings - they will be easier to work with. I hope this helps!
