The release is the most difficult aspect of slinging to understand AND recreate consistantly. I love it! Thanks for sharing.

You aren't kidding. Every good shooter has mastered the release.

I recreated two much, by a factor of four, and my child support payments were awful. So maybe it's a good idea not to be too con$i$tant. THWACK!

True. I've resigned myself to buying cheap yet effective flat bandsets from China on ebay and they sometimes have random ties at the pouch but thanks to your tutorials and a clean release I'm still kickin ass with accuracy!

Great story and it actually answers alot of questions for me. As always thank you for all you do.

Funny story and good advice. The best advice I can do to a beginner and a skilled shooter is to make slow motion movies of your release. With a modern smartphone and a second person it will be easy to do.

Indeed! :)

Put the HUDL app on your phone - made to analyze golf swing, tennis moves, archery technique, batting, etc. - can slow-mo by various degrees. THWACK!

Total agreement. A lot of those Chinese guys tie their bands OTT but one with the trough up and one down. I’ve tried tying them in every weird configuration I could think of thinking one might have some magical solution for twisted bands but at the end of the day, nine of it shot any better than the other and no magical arrangement. But dang it has been a blast experimenting.😆

I accidentally tied a band set like that last night and it did not affect my accuracy at all. I actually like it like that. So, I might start tying them like that from now on.

Yup I've been using ott bands on ttf not knowing there was a difference lol.

It makes no difference for accuracy but some shooters like the cleaner line.

Why do you shoot that configurations,? I'm having trouble with my accuratese not the up and down but shooting to the right I have too move the pouch one inch away from my face to hit center. Very hard to get right consistently

I agree. A lot of precision preparation is psychological. I shoot only natural forks, gum rubber, Ruffus Hussey tie-up, and clay balls. Never entered a competition in my life, but no tin can is safe! Hehe. It is a hobby sport to me. Don't think I would want to do it for a living. That would make it work, and I am famous for avoiding work.

Great I have only just returned to using a SLINGSHOT and getting more frame hits. Than I need But found more success , holding the forks forward and twisting the band's ..a bit like shooting a PICKLE FORK,, I seem more comfortable and successful ,this way. I'm still only hitting the small target occasionally. But feel ,that's due to my lack of confidence , But the shots are going in the same general area ,that I shoot in I have got a wealth of information, from you ,thank you.. Also made myself 6 wood slingshots and ordered 3 professional made slingshots from Radtech in the Philippines, which is where I am at the moment.but live in Australia. Your SLINGSHOTS look brilliant.but a bit too complicated to order and sent to the Philippines. 😎🤔

Thank you sir! FWIW, we ship to the Philippines regularly and it is as easy as ordering online and waiting for it to arrive!
