@1:14:47 shouldn't the courier have 2 cards underneath it? Did he miss a trigger when it attacked a second time prior to the gearhulk coming down?

Well actually, the exiled card was on the stack. In response to the trigger, Orange decided to play settle with gearhulk. So we have on the stack : the exiled card and settle. In response to settle, Juza sacrified his Bomat, so the trigger was also on the stack. Then all the triggers resolved. First Bomat's activated ability, giving Juza the previous exiled card, then settle to destroy the attacking creatures, and at the end Bomat's triggered ability to exil a card. That's what we can see a few seconds after.

Juza did not play well. A sentence I thought I would never say. playing that scrounger in the last game pre combat was huge punt cuz it let his attacking scrounger not be able to be sacced IR to seal away. he also mismanaged that hazoret. should have been pitching scrounger to it. He most likely would still get overpowered by arch, but i've grown to expect much better play from him. seemed like he would make a play then realize a better line only for it to be too late multiple times.

I think Juza absolutely played well. He sniffed out the settles and played around them the best he could with the cards he held. The Hazoret pitches were never going to stack the damage he needed when his opponent was at 15, which is why he held the resources to try and force through what he needed in play. Playing the scrounger precombat was possibly incorrect, but I think he was trying to bait counter spells/gain information before declaring attackers, and also resulted in an untapped scrounger to attack with the following turn. I also think he didn't attack with the Pia because he was keeping her safe from seal aways, valuing her interaction with the scrounger more than her 2/2 body.I think the matchup is just awful without early hand disruption, and doubly awful if you play no pressure in the first three turns of the game. The whole last game looked hopeless after turn 3.

Your analysis is entirely incorrect. Each one of those plays was made a for a reason. He was playing around counters, removal, valuing resources, etc. He played the game quite well, he was just a big dog in the matchup.

I hope people from wizards see it: Ironworks combo is magic cancer. We watch for nearly 5 minutes a player playing solitaire at one point of the finals 38:30 - 43:00. It is like watching someone playing in a casino nothing to do with magic. Ban this combo out of the game
