It kinda looked like they were getting ready cuff him and take him away in the back of the patrol car that came in at the end. I assumed it was a senior officer called in to handle the situation. But I agree, physical assault and battery on someone AND destruction of personal property was totally uncalled for. After nearly dumping the 21 truck he pulled the dumbest thing he could. He had to know that he pissed the other driver off, and then trying to pass on the outside? Brains definitely ain't his strong point. Everyone knows that a race car moves to the outside of the track off the turns, and eight wheels are always going to have more grip than four, so he was NEVER going to get by on the outside. And anyone who has been around Saturday night racing at all knows that if you are a driver that was, or might be the cause of an accident you NEVER get out of your car until track officials are there and under no situation at all do you EVER remove your helmet until you get back to your trailer and crew. But it's good for bringing the general intelligence of an individual if they are dumb enough to start swinging and tugging at another driver that still has a helmet on AND is securely belted into his race car. All you're going to get is at the least some really sore bones and knuckles in your hands, and some strap burns from trying to pull the other driver out of his car by yanking on his belts. And at the other end of the spectrum there could be fractures of several bones in your hands and even more in your wrist and if you have a good swing there's a good chance of breaking one or both of the bones in your fore arms, guess you really showed him didn't you. You know who we're talking about, the guy who was howling in laughter as you were crying out in pain while the security and Sheriff's were lifting you up off the track at the side of his car.

The previous turn was racing... on a track like that you'll often see someone use the bumper... sometimes being quicker doesn't mean you can pass... watch any Martinsville race ever ran.... but the retaliation wasn't a racing move. It honestly looks like a racing incident. Watched at quarter speed and the 21 doesn’t really push up, and the 7 kinda comes down. Neither gave an inch and the number 7 just be suspended or banned for the behaviour afterwords.

If you watch the video close, the # 21 actually blows a tire in the turn that caused this. Strictly a racing incident in the # 21 defense. As for the #7 this is what having a temper tantrum as an adult looks like. I use the term adult lightly.

7 started it when he slammed into 21 in the middle of 3, and going into 2 he cut down on the 7. And after that, it looks like 21 might have "helped" 7 into the wall. For those actions AND his assault on a driver still strapped in his car, I'd have suspended 7 for the rest of the season. And for knocking over the pit cart, banned for life from that track and that series.

Yes in slo-mo you can see the 7 come down into the 21 , the 21 held his position on the inside if you watch the line on the apron . 7 is the bad guy . Driver of the 7 should be ban or suspended .

Eh, its racing. I think he got the message he screwed up. Should he have tipped the pit box over? No, he shouldn't have, nor should he have walked up to the car to take a swing at the other driver. If you watch the watch the whole opening you'll understand what was going on in the head of the 7 driver. He was clearly the faster truck of the two. The 21 made his truck wider and made it a tough pass. This is his right to do but I'm sure it was frustrating the 7 driver. When the back marker came into the picture that gave the 7 an chance to gain some momentum coming into the corner. The 7 couldn't get beside the 21 up to this point being the 21 was getting on the corner well enough but the 7 was rolling the middle alot better. The 7 thought he had a shot and took it. I'm sure at that exact moment the 7 thought the 21 intentionally came up into him (definately not the case) but given those two have history and how hard the 21 made it for the 7 to pass I can see how it could be perceived in that manner. Remember these are racers. 99.999% of them are not emotionally rational when they get into the car anyways.

Also, just before contact, front left brake rotor had a small fireball explosion on truce 21. So, maybe take a look, it might have been a legit mishap. # 7 is a hothead and clearly not stable enough to handle the stress of racing. #7 should have his track license revoked for life!

It was quite evident that a part failure was the cause of the accident. The driver of the #7 truck lost his pacifier when he tried to move the #21 truck and the nut holding the steering wheel failed and the resulting temper tantrum was a direct result.

Did the 21 hold up the 31 and 7, sure did. 31 paid the price and lost second. 7 was the fastest truck, gave him a tap outta 4, it’s asphalt, about the only way they pass. Going into one, 7 cut down too soon, and 21 was wanting to crash him. And there is a difference. 7 bumped him to get him loose, did not crash him. 21 just totally destroyed them, it was stupid what 21 did, and 7 going that outta control in the pits was nuts. Wait for the guy after the race, do not go to his car and attack him, don’t tip over his pit cart, while funny, that is over the top and not cool. Anyone putting all the blame one way or the other doesn’t really get racing etiquette, especially asphalt. To top it all off, they got that crazy with six trucks and I know dang well they don’t pay real good. In the end, they were both idiots. 21 was the third quickest truck, just was in the preferred line. And it snowballed from there.

The 7truck took himself out by squeezing Dow on the 21. Watch the left front tire of the21 through the corner, it gets closer to the inside line, the 7 came down on the 21, you can see the frame of the21 bottom out, shower of sparks, no front traction at all, and forward momentum brought them both hard into the fence. The 7 has severe anger management issues, and should be banned from all tracks forever!
