Proactive measures kept prices in check after diesel subsidy rationalisation, Dewan Rakyat hears

The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry (KPDN) has issued 210 written notices and opened seven investigation papers concerning traders who have raised prices following the diesel subsidy rationalisation, Deputy Minister Fuziah Salleh informed the Dewan Rakyat on Monday (June 24).
Fuziah also mentioned that proactive monitoring has been in place since the implementation of targeted subsidies.
Responding to a supplementary question from Muhammad Fawwaz Mohamad Jan (PN-Permatang Pauh) about the impact of rising diesel prices on the construction sector, Fuziah stated that the ministry has not yet implemented targeted subsidies for specific sectors.

Harga Sardine cap ayam se tin sebelum subsidi ditarik rm9.60. Selepas dah tarik subsidi harga sardine sudah jadi rm10.60. So we hope this Deputy Minister don't talk rubbish in Parliament. Rakyat will kick KERAJAAN MADANI OUT IN GE16 OR SOONER.

You go cook yourself la, if someone one is fooling you then question them. They increase to pay for the new property they just bought. What? prices went down,cooking oil,egg,rice,cooking gas. Those business who increase were not reporting their actuall income and sales pay less tax. Most food stall I went still same , don't support mamaks they making a mockery and racking in thousands every month.

Some food stall at my area regular foodcourt, I refrain from eating their food and asked loudly "anyone else increased their price?" I'm not ordering from it. I did this before few years ago and those errant foodstall operate revert their price back to normal. When prices goes up, don't just blame government. We as consumers have over rights and powers, unless majority choose to keep quiet and willingly pay higher price

I always tell them off with points and cancel order. People should read and know the facts. Rice/gas/ cooking oil/ chicken/ egg all still same price or less.
