I'm new to fishing and have used 8lb tapered leader to 8lb tippet and caught nothing could it be because my tippet is not smaller then the leader?? Didn't realise it was meant to be.

Amazes me, that people comment on how easy it is to catch, comments like, put anything on, hardly any skill, would love to fish with you experts, I'm sure you'll bag up on first four casts. Enjoyable to watch, next to being there yourself.

Not so.They can become as difficult as wild fish when they have been subjected to fishing pressure. Wild fish can be easy in lightly fished water.
