Sandven, Domesticated Reindeer and Wild Forest and Tundra Reindeer still live side by side in Northern Scandinavia, Finland and Russia. Both the Wild Forest Reindeer and Wild Tundra Reindeer are tragically disappeared in the Norwegian Finnmark.

Yes, some places are least visited..... Nice to know about this national park which is the least visited place in Europe

I like how there’s a town nearby called ‘никель´, reflecting the commodity industry that flourished in this sanctuary of Northern Europe.

Really nice trail that Chris. The mosquitoes/midges are pretty bad this year. Plenty to see there with the Moose and the Red Foxes who seem to have no fear of man there. Perhaps it’s so remote they could go a lifetime without seeing a man?
@sandvenexplorer4 жыл бұрын
The moose are quite shy, but from a car they usually seems confused and will not run as easy, so a car is the best way to get a photo..Yes I have seen a lot of foxes up here and even more hares, they seem to be somewhat approachable but again from a car mostly. But some younger ones seem less afraid. So few people here that hunting is not as big threat as in the south...I am sure many can go a long time at least without seeing people!

@@jthomas8263 Is that because of human influence or just natural rise and fall of certain species?

Wild Forest Reindeer are missing and replaced by Domesticated Reindeer.

I was so happy until you said mosquitos :-( I am thinking of going for a 2 week remote hiking place. Also looked at Abisko in north Sweden

I’ve wondered is Russia has surveillance or men working on the border in the woods.

Could be, probably I guess!
