These guys are such savages! I love SVB and Ferrari, two of my favorite players. Such methodical, technically accurate players. They truly make it look easy. Definitely an underused tactic at times, although of course at this level of play it won't be seen too often. If you're in league, just remember to call a safe when you do that lol. I've made that mistake before.

It was a smart shot considering FSR only had that ball left but I wouldn't call it Genius 😂. I know too many league players 500 fargo that would play that safety and that's just a decent league level.

@raferb
@raferb 8 ай бұрын
In this match you have to call the pocket you are going to make your ball in. So Shane was able to make one of his balls, and play a defensive safety in one shot by calling 'no packet', meaning he sits down because he didn't call the pocket he made his ball in, but it was intentional since he was really playing safe, so that his opponent clears the problem ball and Shane has a better chance of running out.
@mhallett364
@mhallett364 Жыл бұрын
44:50 or so. Brilliant! I didn't even know that was a thing. If you purposely don't call your ball and then you make it. It's your opponent's turn right where everything sits but it's not actually a foul so that was really brilliant because the four was tied up and he made Sanchez hit it and therefore free up Shane's ball for him with no penalty. Wow, just wow. If I understood that correctly.
@TheAntMan101

How is it even possible for an experienced player to make this comment at 24:10, "It doesn't matter what the format is, the better player will still win." Shane using cheap ass master chalk is a big contributer to the skids🤷. The rack or the person using it is to blame for the rest. Just my opinion tho
@davidbehrens4760
@davidbehrens4760 Жыл бұрын
@@MrSulkow1 You're right, there's no good reason he should be using Master when he's getting that many skids, especially because Taom v10, Predator Pure and Kamui Roku are all so much cleaner. Still, there was a comment somewhere in this match and another match about how the Predator balls seem to be harder to clean and chalk seems to get on them and stay on them more easily after they're cleaned. I couldn't verify that personally but it could be a factor if true. I got to play with a super old set of clay/ceramic balls once and those things picked up chalk noticeably more than modern resin-based balls so surface composition may be a factor.

3rd time watching this match.Shane and Cisco worth studying. My comment is about the “cling,skid,or whatever else they call it “ Just maybe they haven’t thought of this,but I’m sure they have by now. I’m just tired of hearing George T.talk about it. Down on the Gulf coast where the humidity and salt air is as thick as anywhere. At our regional tournaments,we tend to go overboard trying to reduce the ill effects of climate. We clean all the pool balls each evening in a machine that we put in the cleaning solvent by hand and then the wax by hand. One time the owner of the room,trying to help out, volunteered to clean the balls.He had never done it before. He put the wrong amount of wax in on the final cycle. Next day,Tournament restarts, and soon players are complaining about “skids”. We were trying everything we could think of, rebrushing the tables, changing the Chalk, turning the A/C down till everyone was shivering. Finally one player,I think it was Jeremy Jones, said “these balls don’t feel right, as he was racking. Another player,Gabe Owen,picked up a ball and declared “ these balls have too much wax on them “. Well, we grabbed 12 racks of old dirty balls and proceeded with the tournament, adding the new Re cleaned balls as available. No more “skidding “. So this time it wasn’t dirty balls, but too much wax on very clean balls. The owner was super embarrassed. I’m not going to say who Won the tournament,except to say it was one of the ones I mentioned. The other one was second. So, well, maybe that’s Predator’s problem (?) adios

Most of these racks cannot be tight as the balls are barely spreading on the break despite both players clearly trying to hit them hard. This can only be down to the rack (the quality of the Predator rack I mean) or the rails. Don't see this happening frequently when different (better) equipment is used.

I’ve just opened this match and have to hear George T. give his first “ flub” without a ball having been struck. Am I doomed to be subjected to his “flubs” for this whole match?😢

I wish they could do something about the horrific annoying background music.

You’d think the commentators would be more professional and not be absolutely saliva dripping during the match. Couldn’t enjoy this because of that mouth noise over the mic. Next time have some self control and don’t eat until after the match

I don't know how these players can concentrate when this God awful crap for music is dronning on. Who in their right mind chooses this Rave background noise as music ??
