I'm so glad that only the drive shaft and the yoke is the only thing that broke last drive shaft failure I had snapped the tail shaft off of my brinn and when it come loose went under the back tires and cut both of them but my yoke didnt fail apparently at some point I hit the drive shaft itself and started a crack in it somewhere and she went boom in high gear on the longest straight and I may have messed up a fire suit cause it sounded like the whole car blew up and do you guy use anything like mud off or wd40 under the wheel wells it keeps the mud from sticking I use cooking spray from the dollor general and it saves me alot of clean up time so anyway congratulations to all of yall on a killer run and a huge win

So Jesse is gonna race again. Good. He needs it. But..... do you think we should use bungee cords attached to his elbows to keep his hands and arms still? Hmmmm..... BTW, the new steering ratio dampener I suggested didn't seem to work last time. Go fast, turn a little left just enough to setup the right rear end steer, and straighten out coming onto the straightaway. No back and forth jingling on the straightaway! Smooth hands!

If the vibration is in the seat it usually is in the rear to include the driveshaft. If its in the front its felt most notably in the steering column.

Driveshaft was definitely a litl short, but it hung in there jus long enough, we always drilled thru the tail housing and bushing and put a grease fitting so we could make sure the bushing was well lubricated

GM will NOT warranty a crate engine used in racing. Never. Maybe Dickens does a LITTLE bit but that would be almost unheard of too and that means he’s admitting he went into a sealed engine.

From what I seen in the last race from Southern Raceway there was one or two other cars that I would say you need too be concerned about.

Driveshaft might be too long, when the rear end indexes forward the yoke can cause what your seeing. Thats why the ball spline trans was invented.

Set Up: During the off season, I would suggest a practice day and let Jessie drive Jon's car (with Joseph's set up in it). And let Joseph drive Jessie's 1 car (and do the set up). Film all the driver's hands and compare notes.....I bet a lot of the 1 car's set up is off and Jessie is overdriving it to compensate.......But even with a good set up, Jessie may still have busy hands because he is just a high strung guy with lots of fast twitch muscles. And it comes out in his driving....Then again he does NOT have busy hands when iracing so not sure. Then again he has gotten two 4th place finishes in his very first year. With MINIMAL seat time. (due to Joseph kicking butt)...... And the car looks good from the outside, even with his busy hands. Plus a (video'd) practice day would give Jon a chance to practice and get back into the groove for racing.

@@ralphwatten2426 Agree about Jessie's set up......I want to see what Joseph thinks of Jessie's baseline set up....And see what Jessie thinks about Jon's 56 car with Joseph's latest set up. I assume Joseph did well in his last race.....They have too many good drivers. LOL And I include Jessie in that group. He has done amazing with so little seat time in his first yr of late model......But I still think figuring out a competitive set up is what he needs to work on the most but that only comes with lots of experience, like Joseph has.....Then again I think much of Joseph's missing ingredient is the advice he gets from the capital guy he calls while at the races.......I think Joseph's strength is understanding what the car is doing each time out and giving accurate feedback to the capital guy.....And then he executes!!....What a year for these guys!! They have much to be proud of!
