360 lps of water is flowing in a pipe. The pipe is bent by 120o. The inlet diameter is 360 mm and the outlet diameter is 240 mm. The volume of water in the bend is 0.14 m3. The pressure at the entrance is 72 kN/m2 and the exit is 2.4 m above the entrance section. Find the force exerted on the bend.
