Always shocks me when people spend a fortune having a pond built without sufficient knowledge of the basics of how a pond system works. Please do the research people otherwise you will have similar problems to these. I have a pressurized filter on my grow-on pond and to be honest once a fortnight cleaning is not sufficient for Koi, except maybe in winter. The more often they are cleaned the better. I clean mine twice a week. You have to keep in mind that any fish waste or unbeaten food trapped in the filter is still in your water, decomposing and producing toxins. Just because it's not in your pond doesn't mean the problems gone. As the old fella who taught me about koi keeping in the 1970's told me, the weakest link in any pond system is always the pond keeper. Bad pond design, wrong equipment choices, over-stocking, insufficient maintenance and lack of knowledge will always cause problems in a koi pond. Enjoyed the video. 👍👍 Not having a rant by the way, just warning 'newbies' of the pitfalls.

I am confused by this video. So the problem with this filter and why you think it’s “ok” is because the customer did not properly maintain it and has missing filters? I cannot say I have seen anything other than stunning results by owners of this filter

@@PMPerformance hi there the problem with the existing filter was that some of the filter contents were missing and most of the existing contents were damaged with no ultra violet light . Hence the reason the existing filter was not doing its job in filtering the water properly ! The customer chose the pressure filter option for easy maintenance! Built in ultra violet light ! And a more cost efficient option . The customer was previously sold the existing filter on the understanding it was new ! But was sold a second hand filter by someone else with filter contents missing ! So I’m sure you will agree ! The customer is now a happy one! Thank you for your input 👍

@@perryspondscom2524 ok, the issue is based on the customer not buying a new and complete unit is what it boils down to But even with a single filter missing, that water quality I would not think is normal

@@PMPerformance thank you for your reply . That is actually the whole point . Because the existing filter is missing some contents ! That would be the reason it’s not filtering properly! We installed the new pressure filter just before posting the video . So therefore the water would not clear straight away . You would have to give the water a chance to go round the new filter to see it start to clear. So there is the answer to your question ! And thank again for your input .👍
