Oh no! I sown some in march, they grow nicely in my pot, do those pests spread to other flowers too? If that's the case then better keep them away from my garden...

They are beautiful flowers and no I have never seen that they have spread to other plants but to be safe I would keep them away from other plants you really love.

Your best best is to go with its shrub cousin the Hibiscus Syriacus aka Rose of Sharon Lucy variety.
