Agree with the below comment. I like the way you explained it. But just one thing I got confused when you say to multiply but you use the term “into”, which is not used for multiplying, it is used for division. Instead you can say “times”. In other words, 24,000 “times” 100 and then “divided by or into” 74,000. Other than that, thank you very much for your explanation 👍

We have to consider only the annual usage value not the cost of the item. A class items may be low priced items. For example, in the case of a printing press, the price of the paper per kg may be less. But it becomes A class because of its high annual usage value. Printing ink may be costly. But its annual usage value is less. So, it may be either B or C class item.

Ajay Vasanth Well, theoretically if two items have the same cost and same unit demand that would happen, but I guess it’s not very likely. The issue I’m having is that In trying to do the analysis with only unit sales/demand and there are many repeated values.
