guys Q2 is correct because you have to assume 3 things: 1)past age(P-12 &Q -12) 2) present age(P&Q) 3) future age(after 12 years=P+12,Q+12)

Sir in the 10th question the avg age of 4 people was 19 and that was 4 years ago. When you calculated you just found the sum without considering the difference in age 4 years ago.

For Q.2 I think answer is wrong because p,q is considered as present age. The answer might be p,q age is 24,16 respectively. present age of p=3x Present age of q=2x 3(2x-12)=(3x-12) 6x-36=3x-12 X=8 Therefore p age==3*x=3*8=24

In 7th question eg if a student gets 0 in eng 10 in Hindi 20 in maths then avg will b 30 divided by 3 not 2 so even value is zero we need to consider in number of items so ans in 7 q will b 120/4

in q#7 avg o group has to be taken six year back , even though youngest ager was 0 we have to consider him in calculating average. ie [0+(A-6) +(B-6) +(C-0)] /4

7. Total age of 4=(4*36)=144 yrs.. Without the youngest friend total age =(144-6) =138 yrs..this is the total of 3 friends.. Now avg of 3=(138/3)=46 yrs.. So at the time of birth the avg age was 46-6=40 yrs

according to me the given solution is wrong we should divide by 4, even the age of youngest friend is 0 but he is still the part of the group.(if a batsman plays 10 matches and scores 0 in 1 match then also we include that match, I hope this analogy helps and i am correct with my solution).....do reply and correct me if I am wrong

In question 7, the average cant be greater than 36 when we take it 6 years back. according to your solution you have divided by 3 and hence you got 40. Whereas you should have divided by 4. The answer then would be 120/4 = 30.

But sir....in question 7 ) let assume scenario of cricket : if player plays 4 match and in 1 match he scored 0 run , in this scenario we don't remove that one match and calculate average dividing by 3, instead we divide total runs by total matches...inow come to this ...if one of friend is just born i.e. he is 0 year and some minutes or days old...means he exists...so why we dont divide 120 by 4 instead 3 ? 🤔🤔🤔😅😅😅

in question number 7. why it is divided in 3 person. the question was clearly stated that the average age of the group AT THE TIME OF BIRTH of youngest frnd. therefore; the youngest frnd is considered part of the group.i presumed that the number of persons divided is 4. not 3.

The youngest friend has 0 age or no age so how can you consider anyone with no age? If someone has no age will the age count to equation?(as average age is associated with number of people and their ages). Think and understand the sum properly then you will get the right conclusion

Yes!! I agree with you @AR AR Average of x person is A. If each of the persons age is subtracted or added or multiplied or divided by a certain value, then the Average A is also subtracted or added or multiplied or divided by that certain amount. 6 yrs ago, each person age will be subtracted by 6, therefore, average 36 is subtracted by 6 and the ans is 30.
