Your a stand up guy. Most people out there would have left it alone if they knew it was going to cost them money to fix the issue. Thanks for all the videos. Keep it Rad.

Excellent video. I say your explanation is 100% plausible. As someone who has been working on cars for many years, the best way to learn and keep yourself humble is to admit you screwed up. Nobody likes to keep saying “I screwed up”, so it makes you be sure you are doing the work correctly.

I'm sorry this one gave you trouble, but thanks for sharing what you learned. I especially appreciate the tip from the troubleshooting video about using a torque wrench to check that the engine spins easily enough.

You are a stand up person thumbs up 👍👍!! Sometimes I glue the apex corners, didn’t realize it can happen with super seals also, even with Mazda springs!!

I agree with you about the housing pulling the corner seal out of place. Put it back together without taking it apart any further. Of course ck out how freely it turns over.

Hey been these engine for years the apex seal tip will lock onto the rotar housing edge if the stack is tightened in one go ,you need to rotate and tighten the assembly to settle the tips in steps until your final torque of 28-35 ft/lbs. This more so in mazda or some of the unbreakable seals that have a fine tip.

Surely spinning the motor that amount of time with no oil circulating could possibly damaged the Bearings or Seals?

what is your option of supergluing the corner piece of the apex seal
@brapgarage2 жыл бұрын
How do you feel about using the super glue trick for apex seals during installation? I hear people on both sides of it.
@RADPotential2 жыл бұрын
Typically I'd only do that for a bridgported build. But that would have prevented this issue
@scotty3052 жыл бұрын
@@RADPotential I haven't built a rotary engine but was wondering this also. What are the risks or disadvantages of using superglue to stick the apex seal pieces together?

Hey man! Where do you balance your rotors/eshaft? I'm also in Indiana and Banzai-Racing will only do it if I pay to have my engine built by them as well :/
@RADPotential2 жыл бұрын
You could have chips motor sports or defined autoworks do it. Defined is up in ohio
@rmreid832 жыл бұрын
At what point do you have to balance your pieces? If you are using all the same rotors, flywheel, e shaft, etc…..do you need to? Thanks!

Is it possible to press in the oil control rings into the rotors prior to assembly?

Yes you would do that for sure. I'd build the rotors on the work bench. And then install them into the engine

@RADPotential2 жыл бұрын
Eventually I want to build one for my first gen
@KenBober2 жыл бұрын
I've thought about doing a 20b na in my fc but another channel told me since it's a se model the transmission and rear end won't handle it so it's on a back burner for now
@RADPotential2 жыл бұрын
An NA 20B isn't going to make much more than 350 wheel. Stock diff and trans shouldn't be that bad. If your just street driving and doing pulls it's will be fine
