Problems with Event Content (Tower Heroes)

What would you think if the base event happened at the first of the month with the actual seasonal update or a normal content update happening later on in the month sorta like how Easter 2024 was handled It's something I thought of but I wanna see more input

i think every seasonal update should be handled like easter was. more permanent content and fun hunts/contracts that aren't rng (also the skins were peak)

I wish they would mostly focus on improving the gameplay and adding new heroes, and it’s not like there aren’t ideas, I can think of a few: Crosspaths for towers? Might be complicated but it would allow for “bad” towers to be used differently And some ideas for heroes are: •an ice based hero •a hero that can attack and make cash (albeit less than lemonade cat so it doesn’t become useless) •a hero with priority targeting •a hero with defense pierce •a hero that can be placed on water (would allow for more unique maps imo) •a hero with knock back abilities •a hero who increases the value of mana enemies drop •a hero that can reflect attacks back at enemies •and probably many more

issue is, they can do both, if they kept event updates smaller they'd easily have time to not only add new heroes but actually balance the old ones

pumpkin twins contract was just a middle finger to everyone cause it was like "oh? you didnt think this map was already unfair and unfun to play? well here take a boss/enemy that has a complicated mechanic and if you fail you gotta start over"

Now that you point it out, it is REALLY scummy to put it major characters they put into the events as one time skins and rewards, the only ones I have is Rein, Mimic and Tuturo, with the former two being very major figures in the game, due to Tuturo being in the tutorial and Mimic being a very common global enemy, so it sucks to see them locked behind events that were difficult to complete and knowing that these characters that people love and want to gain the skins for aren't obtainable anymore. It's a very weird choice on their end, I don't know what the solution they'd do is but mine would be like a "remix" skin that you could obtain, that's the same skin with effects, sfx, vfx, but with different colours on the model so the original owners of the skin don't feel like they lost worth in it.

8:49 This is geniuenly why I play tower heroes the FOMO in this game is actually horrid most of the actual worthwhile skins that have effort put into them are exclusive so it creates this false need to play obviously having exclusivity in a game isn't a bad thing but when it's every single update it gets to a point where it's just frustrating

This is very true and sad at the same time. Back at 2021, I've always wanted to get the rein skin because I thought it looked cool, but missed the chance to get it since I've had great time with my family and didn't get the chance to play the event, after the event ended I thought "Oh it'll come back soon" and boy I was wrong. I even waited for the Carol skin cuz once again didn't get the chance to get it. Really hoped to see them rerun some of the old event skins and followers tbh

They could honestly do this, and would be a great step, but due to people who are all about owning limited/rare stuff, they wouldnt. Give it a good week or two, they'll be here telling you why you shouldve cut connections with your family and instead focused on getting some skin.

my biggest issue with events is the maps having too little time to be played, especially halloween halloween events only last until the end of november which nowadays results in like a month of the event i really wish i had more time to play stuff like pumpkin paranoia/frigid fortress as some of the event maps are geniunely really fun to play even though the battlepasses and advent calenders look meh the modifiers still look pretty neat, but event modifiers in general either never come back/or are map modifiers (which feel like bullshit trying to get(i tried SO hard to get pumpkin paranoia modifers in 2024, still couldnt because of the event's short runtime)). i would like the returning of modifier exclusive event bosses because they seem neat for boss rushes and the recent maps (mangled manor and snowy slopes) have really underwhelming boss waves and very uninteresting enemy stats compared to the 2023 event maps (not including creepy carnival), im still eternally grateful for the permanent burrow brawl because its a great map

I've been playing Tower heroes ever since its first easter event, and for a veteran like me, who's also been busy with other stuff, it is getting boring, as I do wish some skins could return, but they choose not to, such as Doom egg Voca, and it's sad to see Tower heroes, a game I still have hope for be in a state like this.

tower heroes updates are just adding more slop to the slop pile as an excuse to not fix the games core mechanics (which also means, each update they make that adds to the slop pile the less likely theyll fix the problems with tower heores as it piles up overtime). and cause of this they make limited features so people get FOMO to play the game, which then wastes all of the effort they put into the event. its not like tds where EVERYTHING in the event becomes unobtainable after it ends (including towers), but if tower heroes devs bring back event towers and map they should bring back contracts so the game has, you know, REPLAYABILITY?!?! (if the replayability is rng then it doesnt count). its pretty sad, this game inspires me to make my own td game but we have to watch the fire of its soul slowly burn out as the devs try to keep it lit while ignoring clear fixes to their game, its both quantity over quality and visuals over gameplay. also the defense “mechanic” being tied to 2 enemies on the most irrelevant map and 1 event boss modifier which barely anyone has is just both funny and sad, they tried to make the gameplay less barebones but then just didnt use it after conclusion: tower heroes needs to square up and fix the gameplay and balancing and add more replayability to their games instead of adding more slop to the slop file while the structure is made out of popsicle sticks and paper straws. (maybe get a good balancer because that “balance” update in the barebones make a cake collab was terrible, but still being a right step in the direction)

One thing i genuinely don't like about the developers way is gate keeping skins/followers. Listen, i understand that having rare stuff is cool but gate keeping skins for THAT long is getting ridiculous. People have always wanted to get old skins (such as me as i wasn't playing Tower Heroes at the time) and its sad how the devs want to bring back stuff but have the urge to not to by reusing assets or making entirely new characters for the 2024 Christmas event... THIS ALSO INCLUDES MIMICS, istg you should make an entirely new video about the horrible rng of mimics. The holiday mimics now just suck, i can never get them, i get burned out and NOW they increased the chances for it to spawn making it IMPOSSIBLE to get! Like why- why is there SO much rng and gate keeping just to keep me playing the game ;-; I know there team is tiny (i think only having 3 PEOPLE working on the game ONLY) which leads to issues on the game being updated which is why the updates are either so slow to update or just to small. They should focus on gameplay rather than skins, make a story mode, make the game modes USEFUL because battle mode is only used for the mimic and thats it. Bring back old skins during there respective event and either put them in the contract/deals OR make people spend robux like 1 thousand robux for Rein and Carol skin which i would not mind buying. They could make some good robux if they do this instead! Seriously, they already did it with the April fool skins so why not again?

good video except rein costed gingerbread during the first big shot weekly she was technically always a christmas enemy not a halloween that turned christmas also jack mod was not the best mod for grinding there were over x1 boss mods at that time that were better mini lazer isnt scientists canon desig its a skin they prefer to use rein isnt just a skin rein is a character rein existed before her skin other bosses have not done the multipke summons thing before krampus is the only boss to do that cursed champion is similar to pumpkin reaper but hey both of those are just corruptedknight but faster first fan art game in the board was virtual egg overcooked was not reused to 1x1x1x1 sunburn was reused to overcook then to 1x1x1x1 but in terms of the boss related feature of sunburn then yeah ur right otherwise, your video is good

Tbh its kinda really getting boring in my opinion, yes im grateful for their updates, and cool skins, but i think theres enough skins, i think they should add a new hero instead or rework some towers like beetrice. Even if they collab, all we're gonna get is just skins, like the adidas event, ( in my opinion dont hate me for this but), it really sucks.. you can get a skin by buying a merch.. i was so sad because i wanted that skin. make a cake collab was great too. but all we get is just skins again all over and over again.. this Christmas event is just mid for me, but the thing is i didnt like the craftings.
