We had major issues with our pet pig starting when he was close to Milo's age (about 3 1/2) I didn't know better how to handle it, I used old school methods of being the top pig. It only got worse and when he was almost five he was biting to draw blood, attacking everyone. Fortunately I was able to find the Animal Behavior Center and I bought the webinars on pig behavior. It has been about a year working with the positive re-enforcement method that Lara shows and he is a changed pig. I still get aggression in certain places, like around his bed, but even then I can tell he is half heartedly being aggressive so I know I need to work more in those places. Today he was a perfectly behaved pig, (he is quite big, at least 150 or more pounds) and a perfect gentleman around our two new young ducks and he was really well behaved for his treats. This method works! I can't be happier that I found Lara's website, we almost had to give up this pig because he was so aggressive. I had a pot belly previously for 20 years, until he passed so I am a little familiar with pigs as pets, but my current pig is a mixture of breeds and very different. Now he is happy and sweet as I knew he was and could be, it was my fault that I did not train him correctly. I didn't know better, now I do! I love my piggy so much, even more now that I see so much improvement.

Well every morning when I see my pig my pigs almost basically trying to run toward me but he's always putting his nose on back of my calf so I don't know if he's trying to bite or what he wants but he gets his food every morning or treat but it scares me but I'm trying to control that but I don't know why he's doing that

Your pig is doing that to assert dominance.

I have to petsit a pig that doesn’t like me and I’m so scared. He jumps to bite at me when he is in his crate when I visit his owner. How can I protect myself?

Train it to station whenever you are walking by it. Pigs catch on very quickly.

We are having a big issue with our 2yo pig not liking and attacking our son. He charges with open mouth. Often we cannot have the pig out if our son is not sleeping for nap or bedtime. Can we get a training session with you or maybe some specific advise for this. We would love to keep our pig and resolve the issue. We are exhausted trying to get both of their needs met separately. It means we are up late with the pig letting him roam around outside or be with us inside

Not sure I've ever even met a pig without aggression issues. Maybe once, and he was just a baby.

I have a question. I have two mini pigs. Both female. There about almost two months old. They have started to root one another kinda like shoving but also like there rooting. This leads to them fighting. I have tried to smack them with a rubber spatula to show them that is not ok. But doesn’t work they still do it. Then I tried spraying them with a spray bottle of water. An it stops them but then later on they will do it again. Why are they doing this ? and how do I stop it? They have plenty of water an food an toys. I don’t understand there only baby’s. They both might also have spoiled pig syndrome as well

Would like to know more about this, but the bird in the background was driving my dogs crazy, so had to close it. Is there a time I can skip to where the bird is not talking over you?

Poor piggy needs more outside time, rooting time,, Natural nature is where it's at. My Sadie pig comes & goes through a doggy door on 2 1/2 acres of fenced property. I spent $100 on Sadie pig through a craigslist Ad because this ladies landlord wouldn't let her keep the pig. This lady put in a tremendous amount of work to where this pig is so calm that I as its new owner can run my fingers along its teeth, kisses on the snout, sleeps in my bed, Leashes up and goes on walks, goes on car rides, camping trips & falls asleep in the car during travel. I mean I really lucked out with Sadie pig!

How do you know he didn't get outdoor time? You should familiarize yourself with my work. He had three areas to be outside and one was a 10,000 square foot greenhouse with grass, banana trees, fig trees, and 10,000 square feet of grass, in addition to two backyards.

Hi, thank you so much for your video. My pig is in his terribles 2!!! :(. I have two problems with my piglet, I hope you can help me with some advice, the first is that he attacks my guests. And I also just rescued a dog from the street, and since he smells me her smell, he attacks me very hard.
@animalcam14385 жыл бұрын
I have the same problems about guests, so since I love my pigs, I just don't have guests. No big deal. As far as the dog goes, don't let the pig see you be kind to the dog. Sneak your love to the dog. Pigs are jealous!
