It’s not the power so much as the extremely low weight of these cars. In GpB rallying they were 900kg, depending on engine size, but in rallycross? Under 800kg?

@@tonylockhart1963 Back in the late 80's I had a motorsport magazine, they had the privilege to test an EC-rallycross 205 T 16. Zero to 60, 1.89 sec. As a Dutch, I went many times to the EC-rallycross rounds.

@@PieterHalveLiter Great stuff! My first rallycross meeting was the 1987 European round at Lydden. Wow… Mark Rennison (Ford RS200), Martin Schanche (Ford RS200), John Welch (STP Ford Escort), Pekka Rantanen (Ford RS200), Matti Alamaki (Lancia Delta S4), Thor Holm (Ford RS200).. I was awestruck.
