Process Video Bible Journaling Joshua

Working through “The Heavenly Host” devotional from ‪@bythewell4god234‬ and journaling in my Illustrating Bible.
Day 2 reminds us that we are only to worship God and no one else. Sounds like a silly reminder, but it’s an important one. Some may wonder if we should worship angels, as they came from our Creator. But no we aren’t.
There are places in the Bible that point out this exact point! This journaling page illustrates when Joshua was leading the Israelites on the journey to reclaim the promise land. Joshua encounters a man with his sword drawn and asks him if he’s friend or foe.
Joshua learns in Joshua 5:14 that he is not just a man, but the commander of the Lord’s army. An angel!
Joshua falls down to worship him and he is corrected by the angel saying,
“Take off your sandals from your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy,” Joshua 5:15
In doing so the Angel brought Joshua to his feet and appropriately directed his worship to the Lord.
