Thank you for saving me money! I have a whirlpool washer that would fill all the way up even if I set it to small. Then immediately it would drain after filling all the way. Turns out the pressure control switch hose was not connected at all. Connected it up and it works great again 🎉

Bless you, sir. Lol I just had this happen in my washer, and my husband works crazy long hours. He just replaced the belt in it, and the very first load flooded my washroom. 😅 I'm betting he knocked something loose. I believe I can fix this myself, with this excellent video, so as to relieve the stress on him. I refuse to get a new washer, because I love my old tried and true, and we've had it for YEARS. Thanks to you, I can keep it up and running!

First of all l live in Australia. So any answer provided would probably need to be generic. I would give these repairs a shot, but if an average person requires parts where do they obtain them from?

Joe Mercieca Hi Joe, I would love to try and help you. Is your washing machine overfilling?
@joemercieca47945 жыл бұрын
@@proclaimliberty2000 Thank you very much for the offer of help. Very kind of you. My question is however hypothetical at the moment. I try to keep abreast of things so that when things inevitably do happen with my old washing machine l have an understanding of what is going on. I have, never contemplated fixing a washing machine because unlike cars l would have no idea of where to source parts. Even a simple repair may not be possible. Hence my question PS: l have stored this clip in the KZbin library for future reference 😊
@proclaimliberty20005 жыл бұрын
Joe Mercieca do you know other people that try to fix things on their own? Maybe you could ask them where they get their parts.

That's good and dandy but I don't have the option to spin the water out because my machine is coin operated but I will try the pressure switch.. I just pulled one wire on the pressure switch and the machine continued to run through the cycle. I have a feeling the switch is bad even though it clicks. The hose I blew through I heard water bubbling so I assume the hose isn't clogged also when I did a few loads earlier the wash water didn't completely empty I'm beginning to think the switch has issues. I going to order another one and replace it. This machine has never been put into service and was stored for many years. I need to learn how to service the machine because it's too expensive to call as someone. 73

I got a new Comfee portable automatic washer that will not fill. The seller wanted me to send the unit back but later decided to issue a refund, yet I still have a brand new machine that will not work so I'd like to get it fixed so I can use the darn thing. Water pressure is fine but I'm a bit reluctant on trying to disassemble the unit. The entire housing is all plastic and cracked in a few places. If i am able to derive to the actual reason for failure, how do i get parts?

I've pinpointed the problem from your info great It's in the hose leading back to the hose 1st mouse made a nest around it , and ate a couple of holes into it Then I cut out that out and added a section in between Blew into the hose and can hear water Trying to make a long story short I have it working but the problem is, this must be a vacuum of sorts It won't work unless I blow into the hose section , bend the hose to prevent leakage and rush to hook to section of hose off the switch It runs for a bit and then I have to repeat it What am I looking for to get it working probably After I get that , I'll give you a up vote

No idea if you are still active but the issue is the water will not stop during the wash cycle, all the other cycles work fine but throughout the whole wash cycle it continues to fill up with water but in the later cycles when it drains the old water and adds new water in to soak it stops on its own, any suggestions? Thanks.

You probably have a bad water inlet valve. You could purchase one from repairclinic.com and if it doesn’t fix the problem send it back for a full refund.

I have resolved that the issue is with the valve but am having a difficult time removing the wired connectors on the valve. I tried pulling them out but they are not disconnecting. How do I get them to disconnect?
@proclaimliberty20003 жыл бұрын
If it’s not corroded then just pull each one out separately with a pair of pliers. If it looks corroded I would buy a can of PB blaster which you can buy at any auto parts store and spray it on the connections and let it sit for an hour
