In case of “IDK what to do” then just ask someone, like a friend in the same class or a classmate. In case of “what if it is stupid” the remember this: teachers will respect you more and give you an easier time if they see an bad project that clearly took real effort to make, than no project, or something rushed. Just do a first draft of it and once that is done tomorrow either keep it as is, or improve it, because no project or something written during recess is X times worse than a bad project .

I think that procrastination actually creates such a vicious cycle that by the time you get the thing done, you're still anxious about how you're procrastinating and just everything about the thing you need to do because if you've been super worried, stressed, and anxious about something, then by the time you're done, your brain just kinda automatically continues being anxious, even if you've done the thing you had to do. So don't procrastinate because if you do, then it even makes getting done with the thing suck.

Hey, I understand this video was posted 3 years ago but I have to say, it's one of my favorite videos on the platform. It's so good at stopping me from procrastinating because of how straightforward and to the point it is. Sometimes when I know I'm procrastinating I will search up this video to snap myself out of it. And today you managed to get me to stop procrastinating about a physical education lesson, an outline of an argumentative essay, and the start of looking for colleges and careers I'm interested in. For what its worth, the advice about managing your emotions is pure wisdom. Kiki's Delivery Service is, like, one of my top favorite Studio Ghibli movies! It was the first one I ever saw and I love it SO MUCH!!! Honestly, when you brought it up, I thought you were going to say something related to the movie. How Kiki hears the person on the radio say, "It's going be a full moon with clear skies, so if you're planning on something special maybe tonight can be that night." After she hears that, she gets up, goes home, and announces to her whole family that instead of waiting a month to leave home like she planned, she wanted to stop procrastinating and leave that night, the perfect midnight. I honestly thought you were going to make that reference. Overall, wonderful video as always. I enjoy watching your videos and can't wait to see what you upload next!

I think this video is very beneficial. I first watched it around the time it was released and I was in a pretty bad place. I don't think it helped me instantly, of course it didn't. But, eventually things started to change and I got better. I started to procrastinate again recently and I got back to this video. I hope everything gets better. Thank you, Tom!

Procrastination. Me: That a relatable topic because I’m procrastinating as well! Idk why I do it though, I just want to do things in between things, I think that stuff I play on my I-pad, computer, lore about that specific video game, etc. is the main objectives, along with the other stuff I do on a daily basis like: brushing my teeth, eating meals, cleaning my cats litter box and petting her and her brother, and etc. everything else that’s progressive, is just a side objective in my mind, an obstacle if even that’s in the way of me becoming a successful person at everything I like playing. Though, this has made me procrastinate I stuff I need to do, like finishing the manual of how to use a graphing calculator, or even writing a report about what work I want to do in the future. And now it’s almost Monday, and I realized what I have done, I haven’t done what I needed to do for 3 whole days, and it’s almost Monday, what happened to me... Why do I do this, WHYYY!!?? Sad to say but, I think I need to be harder on myself, make things more of a reasonable routine, and if I don’t do what I should do, I’ll flick that rubber band to say “NO! DON’T DO THAT, DO THIS! You can take bathroom breaks, and other 20 minute breaks, but NO PLAYING ON THE COMPUTER OR I-PAD UNTIL THE WORK IS DONE, OR ELSE, it won’t be done. And you’ll feel sorry you’ve done that, so DO THIS, JUST RIP OFF THE BAND AID AND IT WILL BE OTHER! BE A MAN NOT A WIMP!” Wow, I just realized that, I’m mean to myself, huh, I didn’t know that til now. Wow. Now I feel bad. I’ve also tried to be more vidulant when it comes to my routine, but that did help. And it took SO LONG, to make that one, that I just kept the original, I could try to make another, and maybe even make the original better, but I don’t want to do it now, What’s wrong with me!?!!! Edit: Ok I might’ve over exaggerated about me not liking myself. I still have those thoughts, but they just mostly about, me needing to be faster, and other stuff. Because that’s another reason why I procrastinated, I’m pretty slow at doing simple things, and when I don’t meet me deadline, I won’t get it done on time. But watching this video gave me CONFIDENCE, that I could do the hard thing I though would take me a long time to do. Even if I watched this video when it was near my deadline for the important stuff I had to do, I still had to do them anyways because if I don’t do it know it would add up with other things I would have to do. And your strategy actually worked TimTom! I though about the steps to reaching my goal only thought about the first thing to do, then I did it. I still have to complete the work about where I want to work when I’m out of high school and college (transition work), but I hope your strategy works because it worked last night, let’s hope it still works today.

Genius. Procrastination is my name. Yesterday i had this HUGE list of work needing done. Notes for 4 classes finished to study and get a killer grade on exams next week, assignments due in linear algebra next morn, 2 lab presentations need worked on, im behind 1.5 chapters in quantum. At class i though "when i get home ill start on it all." But when i got home i somehow talked myself into playing Switch "for an hour." 5 hours later i finally break free and turn off switch to work on it all. Then my phone was in my hand. Next thing i knew it was almost 2am. Same thing today too. Sigh. No will power.
