it is very pretty. today i will try it. can bulio scratch be fully applied to a portrait? I'm a little confused between do or scratch, especially on the eyebrows or soft shadows, give me a suggestion. thanks

Cool! :-) You can do both, it depends on size and technique.. but it´s a technique it usually take years to master, so cool to start. I think the best way is to start experimenting and find your way.. as said, I have seen both been used. Obviously over time your technique will improve and with better graver control you will be able to do more fine details. :-)

thanks for the knowledge. very helpful. my question is whether to use a dot or Dash to draw a face? oh yes marrius i like you all i did with 116. and managed to make very small tip for small medium. but I have a little problem in small media to remove the background. give me a suggestion

Glad you like it! :-) You could use both.. for the background, use small tools, a lot of practice and patience. :-)

@@engraverhand can you make a video on how to momoles gravers? I see but a little confused when polishing using diamantex diamond. polish with the overall shape or only on the face and hell if using diamantex diamond

I guess I could try at some point, but it’s basically how you do now, just more grinding making them smaller. I made a flat for a gold inlay once for a watch.. I think it was 0,2 or 0,3 mm wide. Same as the bigger ones, just smaller. :-) I normally do the face, heel and belly.

What did you use to etch into the plate?

Hi, it’s not etched just transferred to metal ready for engraving. It’s just a normal laser printer on a normal printer paper and transferred with acetone. Keep in mind not all laser printers work equally good or at all. I have an older Canon laser printer :-)
