▷ About Paul:
Paul Rodriguez, also known as “P-Rod” was recognized as a prodigy at the young age of 14, only two years after he started skating. His consistency, effortless style and persistence on his board led Paul to travel far from his home town of Northridge, CA to the City Streets around the world as a part of the legendary City Stars team. His passion for skating and filming with his friends led to his breakout part in Logic 6 in 2000, Street Cinema in 2001 and landed him Rookie of the Year in 2002 for his part in Tranworld’s video production “In Bloom.” He turned pro later that year.
Paul bought his first skateboard at the age of 12. When he’s not skateboarding, Paul enjoys studying the lives of influential individuals, including his favorites such as Alexander the Great and Bruce Lee.
Paul currently lives in Los Angeles.

never forget those that came before him or burnt out/found god and re-committed their lives to christ/god and more importantly skating the various OG's of the golden era late 70s mid 80s. Sometimes when i cant get a trick or get pissed im older/taking a lot of time out of my session to land my go-to or ideal tricks...i just think about dudes like twuan, Jayboy...even Cardiel with his injury that forced him off the board or from his god tier ripping status...and i get my shit together and land some tricks for them. I act like jayboy is watching and knows just like god...that so long as i persevere ill figure it out stomp that shit and i feel like im making them proud. Thats the kind of energy and feel i get watching any antwuan footage.

Nyjah is almost unbelieveable, with his non-stop onslaught of back-to-back, perfectly executed, top-tier tricks. I was in awe, watching him work here. Nyjah is one of THE Greatest Skaters Ive ever seen. He deserves an EXTREMELY lofty place in the History Books of Skateboarding. I dont care what he wears; how he swears; or if he stares - when you have reached Nyjahs level? You have the right to do whatever-you-want, whenever-you-want to do it. Hollow chatter regarding hair and fashion and shoes means ZERO in the face of such amazing skill and talent. These "critiques" are only the poorly-disguised, jealous mutterings of silly high-school children. I am sure people pick on him, for everything off-the-board, (behind safely closed doors), because it would be an impossibility to knock the Mans skating: Hes the Greatest. I love to see you guys motivating each other. I skated a bit when i was a teenager but it didn't stick for some reason. I got really into it and remember practicing ollies and shuvits on a concrete patch in my back yard, but my friends and I ended up giving it up pretty early. I can't even remember why. My parents would even drive me an hour to the closest skatepark and sit there for hours while we skated lmao. Now I'm 37 and have been skating for 1.5 years and I'm much better than when i was a kid. When i see you guys it gives me motivation but also makes me a bit frustrated at myself for not sticking with it or picking it back up sooner. I'm obsessed with skating now. All of it, flat, transition, bars/ledges, gaps, whatever bring it all on. I bring my skateboard with me when i travel for work and will find parks to hit at like 9pm or 5am. Looking back and wishing something different happened is not helpful but it does creep into my head when i see dudes in their mid to late 30s who are absolutely killing it. I'll keep at it because i love it but i do wish i could get some of those years back lmao. Thanks for the positive content my man!
