First thing I did was learn all the notes in the scale. Then I just googled all the different chords in the scale and practised them over and over

You can find basic music theory tutorials anywhere on YT. Check out the version of Andrew Huang. His explanation of chords and scales is awesome. Also the one by Simon Servida. The name of the title is maybe like How to create different emotions. Awesome tutorial on which chords to use and how to create different vibes.

Sounds good. I’m more of a rapper but I like singing as well. Making melodies to sing to is kinda difficult. I like a melody that supremely ear catching so maybe that’s my problem and then the melody is muddy. Thanks for the upload!

I took me probably 3-4 days after I bought my first midi keyboard. It didn't take me too long to be able to play in other keys either. ( probably 1-2 weeks)
