I didn't get put on to MB till like 2014. I missed the wave, but they were one of my clients' favorite group, so I checked them out. There was a natural chemistry and zeal that came thru watching them perform. It felt organic from a spectators standpoint. That withstanding, I did notice Prodigy "hiding in plain sight" in some of the videos I watched. Same with Roc, actually. Working in mental health, it's easy to subconsciously psychoanalyze everyone one observes. I recognize that child stars catch a lot of hell. And teenagers also go through so much at that stage of development. I didn't think anything too deep of my observations. But hearing his story is just heartbreaking. I loathe people who maliciously hurt children. It takes a real sicko to derive any purpose or pleasure out of mentally breaking down a child. You can still see the pain on the young brother's face as he recalls those events while speaking during this video. You're a KING, Prod! Keep holding your head high. And I applaud you for taking the courage to speak up. And I admire and respect your STRENGTH in being able to walk away and not allowing the abuse you faced to turn you into a monster. I hope you and your bros can link up again and reconnect without the negativity that plagued you all in the past.

So since the other members weren't as prominent in the videos I leaned more towards them. But I never hated Prodigy. I loved him as much as the rest. I just loved Ray a bit more lol. After he left I fell into a place in my life where I didn't know what it do. They were my favorite thing in the world. I stopped eating, I binge watched anime just to get my head off of it and not cry all the time. But I never hated him, not one bit. If anything, I wished him well and hoped for the best. Cause like him I have a big heart too. I fell into a depression that got as worse as I progressed in high school cause I was a outcast. Hearing this story brought light to a topic that hurted my heart for a while and I'm happy he finally shared it. I want to cry and give him a huge hug. Like I'm tearing up cause I know what it's like, it's horrible. No one should go through it.

I could tell he was insecure, I didn't think of all this stuff hes saying, but I knew there was insecurity there because he wasn't interacting like the other boys. You have to pay attention to stuff like that, if somebody seems like an outcast something is usually wrong

Prod carried everybody on his back. He was the lead vocalist, the only vocalist truthfully. It's crazy they would even disrespect him like that when he was the bread and butter...and only a kid. Smh I wish he would have addressed it as soon as everything went down.
@TheeOnyxScholar5 жыл бұрын
it breaks my heart to hear what Prodigy had to say about leaving the group; he was mistreated to the point that he went through a depression and many ridiculed this man for years, he didn't deserve what he went through. I remember watching all the interviews and seeing this boy be so quiet, like something felt really off. I never blamed him for leaving because his intergrity and sense of self was on the line, his image was twisted by management, and almost lost the guys over it. nobody deserves to go through that, period. But I'm glad that he told his truth; it closed a chapter in a real old book that we've read and watched with our own eyes.

I always liked Prod but he was never my favourite. now that I'm more mature looking back I can really vybe with his personality now. I hate that he got bullied and treated so disrespectfully for being dark skin which was unattractive. I hope he continues to grow and I will definitely support him more now. He made so much compromises for that group and was often misunderstood...hurts my heart to see he was unhappy and couldn't be his true self. I'm glad he left when he did.

What’s really sad back in my middle school years I go on KZbin and watch mindless behavior after school and when I read the comments I see ppl talk about prod how ugly he is. And I’m like...ummm ugly where. He’s not even ugly I don’t understand how some of those ppl think that. As well as in interviews I always wonder why he’s so quiet and not talking as much as well as the others. For me Princeton was my favorite while my friend back in middle school like Prodigy. When he do talk it be so cute especially when he smile. He deserve the best and I hope u get blessings upon blessings ❤️
